“But when we returned…”
“…the scroll was gone.”
Kael’s expression darkened.
“Who knew about the archive?”
“Only the four of us,” Captain Rowan answered.

“Me.”
“Lady Aria.”
“And General Darius.”
Silence settled between us.
Someone had stolen the map.
Or someone had been watching us all along.
An hour later, the palace war room was filled with Kael’s generals.
