A unique encounter

The Ahuizotl, who was quite depressed and who had suffered injuries because of the fire, advanced through that underground cave.   While he was moving slowly, he could hear the laughter of a little baby, so raising his head, he moved his ears to be able to know where the laughter was coming from.   It didn’t take too long to find where the laughter was coming from, so he started running to where the laughter was coming from.   Every step he took hurt him, but like an unhappy father, he was not willing to give up.   He ran through the cave as fast as he could until he could reach an underground river where he could see the corpse of a woman hugging a small baby, who was laughing.   The Ahuizotl, when he saw the human baby, awakened his sense of paternal protection, so he began to swim in the river water and when he arrived where the woman’s corpse was.   He dragged her towards the riverbank while biting her to be able to move her.   When he reached the riverbank, he used the hand of his tail and moved the woman’s arms so that he could take the little baby.   Diana, when she felt that her mother had stopped hugging her, began to cry, because she did not like feeling unprotected.   The Ahuizotl, upon hearing the cry of the girl, took it with his hand and placed it on his fur, Dina, upon feeling the pleasant hair and the heat in her body, stopped crying.   Because she began to fall asleep on the Ahuizotl.   When he felt the warmth of the little human baby, the Ahuizotl prepared to take care of her, because he did not intend to let something happen to her.   He had not been able to protect his children, but he would take care of the human girl even though it will cost his life.   As soon as the corpse of the woman, the Ahuizotl regretted having to leave it to rot on the bank of the underground river, so he approached her and used his jaws to bite the corpse.   Each bite he took made him feel more of a sense of wanting to protect the girl on his back.   Well, one of the abilities of the Ahuizotl was to feel the last will of the prey that was eating. Many times, they were feelings of despair because they did not want to die.   But this time it was different. It was as if the woman had been happy to have saved her daughter.   The Ahuizotl was determined to respect the will of the woman, so he continued to devour her corpse.   The more he ate it, his own body began to recover. When he reached the skull, he decided to eat it, although in general, he would avoid the brains of his prey.   He had to eat it so he could know how to care for the little baby on his back.   That was the ability of their species and with which they improved their intelligence.   But he had a very big problem, and it was that when he absorbed the conscience of the prey, so the Ahuizotl could completely change his personality.   That is why they will only use that ability when it is completely necessary.   Using his jaws, he opened the corpse’s skull and ate the woman’s brain.   When he finished, he found out that she was the wife of the man who had murdered his young, but despite this, he felt no hatred.   For he had seen that everything he did, he did with love. He was only a father, like him, who tried to take care of his family.   Who he had to worry about and take care of was the man named Richard, the human who was a true sadist.   When he finished devouring the entire body of the woman, he used his legs to dig a hole in the ground, where he placed the clean bones of the woman.   After that, he drank some water and, carrying little Diana on his back; he started on his way to the Nahual forest.   Because he will search a special plant, which is a plant that can produce a substance that any baby of any species can consume.   It had to be fast because little Diana had to eat in a few hours and if the food was not given, she could die, but the Ahuizotl was not willing to let the girl die.   As he advanced through the cave, he avoided some dangerous creatures, such as gigantic spiders or beings called Youaltepuztli.   A headless humanoid creature that had a chest wound where it hid a jaw to devour its prey.   Unlike him, these species would not protect little Diana but would kill her so they could have something to eat.   After a while, he managed to get out of the cave and could see the beautiful landscape of the Nahual forest.   Which had a temperate climate that did not bother little Diana, as she was protected by the hand of the Ahuizotl.   Advancing through the forest, he came to an area with bushes where he stopped as he could smell the scent of blood.   When he peeked through a bush, he could see a group of goblins fighting with chaneques.   The two species, one green and the other yellow, were using their bone weapons.   The battle was bloody because the two species did not stop, even if some of their members had died.   The Ahuizotl wanted to move, but it was too dangerous because it could draw the attention of the two enemies, so he just sigh and wait in silence in that bush.   The battle between the goblins and the chaneques lasted almost two hours but ended with the victory of the chaneques who, using wooden shields, managed to win the battle.   As winners, they skinned the corpses of the goblins so that they could use them as leather for their clothes and houses.   The Ahuizotl only watched the entire process in silence until the chaneques left, leaving the corpses of the goblins to rot in that place.   After this, he advanced for an hour until he came to a small lake where there were some small creatures that were flying and others that were playing in the water.   Making a howl, he called the attention of the small humanoid creatures, which approached him without any precaution as they could sense that the Ahuizotl was not hostile towards them.
