Lurking danger

1130 Words
When the Ahuizotl stepped out of the shadows, he looked with some care where the goblins had come from.   He could be sure that it was a chase and that what they were looking for, this because he could smell the same scent of the goblins from whom he had stolen the elf’s things.   As an extremely territorial creature and extremely brave with the challenges he was given, he was not afraid of being pursued.   The only thing that worried him was that one of those creatures would try to harm his daughter.   Well, little Diana could not defend herself because she was a baby, which was extremely defenseless against any kind of attack against her.   Although that was not entirely true because the Ahuizotl would be there to defend her from whatever kind of thing they will try to do to her.   After drinking water and quenching his thirst, he filled his storage rune with water, as he did not think he would be looking for water in the future due to how dangerous it was.   When he finish, he take care of his baby to start running towards the forest because he had to find a safe place to spend the night.   It didn’t take long to find a small cave under a large tree, which seemed to have been an animal burrow.   Upon entering, he used his shadow magic to clean the place as much as he could. When he finished and left the whole place completely clean, he lay down and allowed his daughter to lie on it.   At that moment, he handed her a milk plant and allowed her to eat. Little Diana drank her milk while snuggling over her father.   It didn’t take long for her to fall asleep, so the Ahuitzotl picked up the milk plant from her and began to pat her on the back to get the air out of her stomach.   After burping and getting some milk, little Diana fell asleep so the Ahuitzotl just stared at her while he cared for her so that she could sleep comfortably.   Next day the Ahuitzotl used his magic to clean the clothes and diaper of little Diana, after this he gave a milk plant to his daughter.   As he left her for a moment to monitor the outside and see if it was a safe place.   When Diana saw her father walk away, she was not afraid because she knew that he would be taking care of her, so she continued drinking his milk.   After a while and when she felt full enough, she left the milk plant and used her little hand to play with the soil of the place.   The strange sensation that the earth offered her was something new for her because it felt strange in her hand, so she continued to hold it.   It was at that moment that she could feel something strange on the ground, so opening her eyes, she looked at her hand and realized that it had a strange pink thing that seemed to twist.   Quite excited because she did not know what was in her hand, she began to move it up and down. The poor worm in the baby’s hand could only twist with some fear.   Well, she didn’t know what was happening, so she could only feel her being moved from one place to another, Diana, who was playing with dirt and an earthworm.   She shouted with joy when she could see how her father looked from a shadow, so she unconsciously released the earth in her hand and dirtied the face of the Ahuizotl.   This caused Diana to laugh, the Ahuizotl did not get angry and much less felt attacked because he knew that his little daughter was playing.   With his hand he wiped his face and later he held his daughter to pat them on the back, because he could not let there be air in her small stomach.   Because it would be too dangerous for her. When Diana burped and expelled some milk the Ahuizotl smiled so he decided to give her daughter a bath.   To do this, he came out of the burrow and using his hand, began to prepare everything to make a fire and heat water to bathe his little daughter.   Diana, with her beautiful honey-colored eyes, looked curiously at everything her father was doing because she was extremely curious to know how the world around her worked.   Looking comfortably from his father’s hairy back, she watched as the logs were arranged in a strange way, to later be lit using a red stone.   This surprised her quite a bit, so she tried to reach out her little hand to grasp the red stone in his father’s hand.   The Ahuizotl shook his head. “The red stone is dangerous. It is a stone of fire that can damage the skin.   When you’re older, I’ll let you use it. “   Diana to feel her father’s refusal only got depressed for a moment before she smiled again because she was looking at the fire with great curiosity.   The Ahuizotl simply smiled and without wasting time a large iron pot appeared, which he filled with water so that he could place it on the fire.   The water then began to heat up, so the Ahuizotl used his hand to measure the temperature, when I can feel that it was already a comfortable temperature.   He removed the pot from the fire using his shadow magic and left it in a place away from the heat of the fire. Using his hand, he began to remove his daughter’s clothes.   When he finished, he placed little Diana in the pot of water, always trying to take care of her at all times.   Diana, who was feeling the water at a comfortable temperature, just closed her eyes. The Ahuitzotl smiled and a saponin leaf appeared.   He began to clean his daughter when he finished; he used the water to rinse her off and with his shadow magic; he dried her before putting her clothes on.   Little Diana was already asleep by that time because she could feel quite tired, even though she had not done much. For a baby of her age, she had gone without sleep for quite a long time.   When the Ahuizotl saw his daughter sleep, he held her with his hand while he bathed.   While he was bathing in the distance, a group of goblins were using their magic to find him.   Which they had already done, so they prepared to ambush the Ahuizotl because they wanted revenge for why he had stolen from them.   Not to mention, they could smell the scent of the soft flesh of a human baby, which was considered a delicacy by goblins.
