The look in the man’s eyes was beyond frightening. Philo glared at the three men standing on the far side of the room, shoulder to shoulder, heads and eyes down, each gripping their hands together in front of them like supplicants praying in a monastery. All three were hoping to get out of the room alive. Everyone who worked for Philo, or had dealings with the giant, knew his anger. Knew the rage bubbling just underneath the surface in the man. The three standing in the room with their boss knew their chances of survival were very slim. None could look at their boss directly. That, you crazy bastard, was the swiftest way possible to get your head blown off. “So, tell me again, from the beginning, exactly what happened tonight.” exactlyThe boss’s voice was, surprisingly, reasonably calm.
