FREYA The silence that descended upon the room dissipates as some of Jayden’s friends begin to chide him for his harsh words, some yell out in outrage while others attempt to console me. But I’m beyond consolation at this point. One of them, one of the guys that was with us the day we had our argument in the parking lot, grabs Jayden by the arm and says harshly. “If you have problems with her, don’t bring up her mum, that’s a d**k move, even for you,” Jayden shakes himself out of his friend’s grip and returns his attention to me.
