JAYDEN Throughout the movie, my eyes remain fixed on Freya. I watch her focus on the film for a few minutes before turning to whisper something in Nick’s ear. She laughs, he laughs, and the cheery banter makes my blood boil. I should stop looking at them. I should tear my f*****g eyes away and instead focus on the movie, but for some odd reason, I can’t. Freya notices, of course, and sometimes she looks at me, but I look away before she can meet my eyes. One time, though, I’m too slow and our gazes lock.
