*Zac* The clock on the clock radio glows a muted red, the digital numbers flickering to midnight. The air inside the cabin is thick with the distant sounds of the storm outside. I glance over at Lena, her chest rising and falling softly in sleep, a peaceful expression on her face. But the thrill coursing through me is too much to contain. I lean closer, brushing a strand of hair away from her forehead, and gently shake her shoulder. “Lena,” I whisper, my voice low and teasing. “Wake up.” She stirs, blinking sleepily at me, confusion clouding her eyes. “What’s going on?” she mumbles, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “There are tornadoes forming nearby,” I say, excitement bubbling in my chest. “I think we should go check them out.” Her eyes widen, the drowsiness evaporating in an instan
