PROLOGUE: HIM

602 Words
Eunoia’s POV “Mother, I am home.” “Eunoia, let’s get you dressed up! The preparations for your birthday is already done!” My mother said grabbing my hand on the way to my room. Viscountess Aurelia Csilla, mother of Eunoia. A former professor from a University in the northern country. An outstanding woman and beautiful of course. Preparing for events are so tiring. I had to take a bath twice, putting on some heavy make up that irritates my face, wearing corsets that leaves marks on my body, spraying bunch of perfumes, wearing high inch heels and to have all of those done in five hours. Exhausting I must say, but then it’s my birthday, the tired has got me, “who’s that?” I’ve been waiting for this moment to come, it’s a one step ahead for me debut in the society, one step ahead to be able to find what I truly want to be and I wish that one step enables me to be with the man I like. I gracefully entered the ball with my relatives and few nobles invited looking at me smiling and clapping wishing me happy birthday. I don’t know what to react, but looking at my parents eased me up and looking at HIM made the butterflies on my tummy flutter. “May I have this dance?” He said. I smiled at him. “You may, Martell.” Martell Elowen, son of Duke Elowen, one of the most powerful family in the Kingdom of Reveren. Eunoia’s father trains him and many other nobles who desires to become a knight or to learn how to handle a sword. Out of all the boys her father teaches he is the guy who sparked Eunoia’s eyes. “You look presentable tonight, Martell.” I chuckled while we dance together. “Presentable? That’s a poor word. “Were you expecting another word?” I asked smiling. He laughed and lifted me up and twirled. As he put me down and kissed my hand he looked at me and said. “You look pretty tonight, Euno.” Those words froze my body, I forgot to breathe for one second and felt like my blood was rushing to my face. “You’re such a player.” I said and left him. I didn’t want him to see me turning red just because he said I’m pretty. I never imagine that I’ll ended up liking Martell. He was never my type, he’s so cheeky and arrogant, yet why did I ended up falling for him? It all started when I saw him sleeping under the tree were I usually sit. His face was so out of this world, how can a human be this handsome. That was the first time we got close to each other, I’ve been with him through his ups and downs and as time passes my feelings for him began to build up. After the dance with Martell, my father then danced with me. Sword fighting was all he knew but after he met my mom, his world turned around. He learned dancing just so he can dance my mom on their wedding day. I will definitely pay to read their love story. Viscount Damen Csilla, the strongest knight in the kingdom he man handedly killed hundreds during the war that’s how he earned the title, “Crimson Blood.” The party ended. I went to my bed excited to tell everything what happened to Arryn tomorrow. I just can’t help but smile and squeal. Martell, I don’t think I can contain my feelings for myself. I want you to know how I feel. I’ve always admired you.
