After three times circling the sun with the new Cherry string connected to only the newborn known as Chloe, the Nova-Star children spoke as a council.
Lilao glancing at the siblings, calmly starting the meeting.
"As of now, we are still learning what exactly this new string means as it's the first of its kind, considering how high it's reaching the air compared to many others it's safe to assume that the second bearer of the Cherry String is not near being born."
Prissa raised her hand as twinkling lights swirled around each nail, questioning.
"Sister? How are we going to record and watch over this newborn and its string when we have so many duties?"
Irra glanced up from her scroll with a light grin and supported Prissa's question,
"You, Lilao, balance the nature of every planet and allow them to dance in the sky, Prissa watches over both the globe and the Circlet Way-Water to observe humans preserve life as much as possible. Whereas I not only create stars and constellations but also cut the strings of fate when a person's strings have lost colour, Tohma..."
The sisters all glanced at their second eldest sibling, his relaxed posture tending.
"Yeah what about me!?"
Sighs left the girls lips as he scoffed, hearing their silent thoughts.
"Yeah yeah, I am the spirit of chaos and bringer of imbalance. Not that I'm allowed to use much of my powers for anything..."
For a moment a wave of silence settled upon the Nova-Star children when Tohma lit up, Almost looking at Lilao for approval.
"Why don't I go and record it all in person!?"
"What!?"
"Why not? I never get to do anything anyway and at least this way everything works out, I won't even use my chaos!"
Lilao rubbed the bridge of her nose with her eyes clenched tightly as if exhausted from the mere thought of letting her younger brother and complete harmonic opposite run around unchecked.
"Tohma you can't just decide to go down on a whim—... there are things to take into account such as her guardian Angel, how to get you down there...not to mention the paperwork!"
"Is not finding out what this string means just as important if not more? A new string for the first time since Prissa's first word that we have no idea about and never will if we don't observe and study closer? Surely the Guardian Angels won't be THAT mad and the paperwork can wait! As for how to get down there, I have a perfect idea!"
A fire sparked in his hands as he created a small meteorite, smirking.
"Just a tiny shower, so slight that maybe two souls will see, if that!"
Prissa leaned up and placed her hand over Lilao's, a wise smile beyond the second youngest sister spreading on her face, she gave a slight nod.
Lilao barely got to agree to what Tohma had suggested when he gathered a bag of stardust, dewdrops and crackled star pieces.
"I will return the moment the Cherry String shows signs of the second bearer being born, try not to wreck the place while I'm gone."
A click of the tongue and his presence faded as for humans a beautiful meteor shower began late at night, sparkling brightly almost unseen above the lights and shadows of the night. The Chaotic spirit waltzing down a little street hidden almost amongst the traffic and greenery, the stillness eerily like the cutting of strings of the gate.
Tohma looked to his right to see a large building and to the top floor he heard the subtle cries and waves of laughter of a newborn, sprinkling a little stardust over his feet and hopping to the highest window.
Within he saw the baby, it was in a crib half asleep bundled in blankets...
The mother was nowhere to be seen.
He slid through the window, already getting a sense of guilt knowing that this was considered more creepy than anything.
"Well, what am I supposed to do? It's my job after all...so you're the reason for all this chaos huh? You look like an ordinary baby to m—"
As he was leant overlooking into the crib talking away knowing no one could hear or see him unless he wanted them too the little newborn started to stir and cry, reaching up and grabbing Tohma's finger both silencing instantly.
For a split second, he was taken back, before softening.
"You are not entirely ordinary, So what do I do with you?"
As if responding Chloe opened her eyes and stared straight into the Nova-Star child, a crawling shiver sent down his spine. On cue two women walked into the room, the tallest speaking in a hushed voice.
"Krystal is mental is she thinks Chloe is leaving anytime soon, she's not capable of taking care of her alone Bow."
The woman with her hair done in a top bun lifted her arms agreeing,
"I know mum but what can we do besides convince her to stay here for a while?"
Tohma raised an eyebrow as he took mental notes that the tallest woman was the grandmother and 'Bow' was the aunt, it wasn't exactly within his job perimeters to be aware of the family but he sighed.
"Better than doing nothing..."
He glanced down at the baby that sucked her thumb, looking around curiously at everything. Allowing him the moment to pull out a piece of paper starting to write meticulously, giving every detail on the report of Chloe.
"You sure are one little troublemaker...what should I call you eh?"
The aunt, Bow, leaned down and gently poked Chloe's rosy cheeks making Tohma chuckle.
"Squishy it is, your nickname from now on is squishy."
