Chapter 30: The Infirmary Standoff
(Third Person's POV)
The school nurse sighed as she stepped out of the infirmary, almost bumping into the figure waiting by the door. It was Chloe Sterling.
The nurse felt a headache coming on. She tried to sidestep, hoping to avoid a confrontation, but Chloe moved to block her path. There was no polite greeting, no respect for a faculty member. Just the entitlement of a girl who owned the school.
"What's the situation inside?" Chloe demanded, crossing her arms.
The nurse mentally cursed her luck. Usually, her job was simple: keep the beds clean and hand out ice packs. But this year, the students were walking nightmares.
She hesitated, choosing her words carefully. "The student is injured. She needs rest."
She couldn't tell Chloe the truth.
