Marcus

I walked into my kitchen, expecting a quiet evening. Instead,I found the lady from the school in my kitchen cooking with my daughter.

"What the hell is going on here?" I demanded, my voice a bit gruffer than intended.

She looks like she can't wait for the ground to swallow her.too many emotions runs on her face before she finally stammered"H....Hi...I'm Zhilay,a cleaner at luna's school

"Yes I know that,get to the part of how you got into my house and even cooking in my kitchen "I snapped

Her face rile up with what I thinks is anger and she exploded

"What kind of a father are you?,Your nanny didn't come and pick your child from school up till 6pm and you didn't bother to check if your daughter is back home" She fumed

I had to deal with my clean business because I need to keep up the good image the society sees,so I had been going from one meeting to another.still,who is she to lecture me on how I take care of my daughter,I believe she's in safe hand with her nanny because I try to keep my cartel business away from my personal life,only few people knows i had a daughter. Luna's nanny better have a life-death situation for forgetting to contact me that she won't be able to pick my daughter up from school.

"Who the hell are you,to judge me about what kind of father am I? I countered

Before she could speak up,luna decide it's her turn to step in

"Papà, non farla arrabbiare, è rimasta con me a scuola ad aspettare Loretta ma non è arrivata e ha chiesto il tuo numero e ti ha chiamato 3 volte ma non hai risposto, quindi ha chiesto se conosco l'indirizzo di casa e ho detto di sì il che l'ha portata qui ma sono stato io a invitarla a rimanere e a prepararmi la cena perché sono affamato e non so a che ora tu o Loretta tornerete.( "papa don't make her angry,she stayed with me in school to wait for Loretta to show up but she didn't and she ask for your number and ring you 3 times but you didn’t pick up,so she ask if i know the address to my home and i said yes which makes her bring me here but I'm the one that invited her to stay and prepare dinner for me because I'm hungry and i don't know what time you or Loretta will get back) luna muttered

I sighed,Non significa che tu debba invitare un estraneo in casa nostra solo perché ti ha portato a casa da scuola.(still luna that doesn't mean you should invite a stranger into our house because she brought you home from school)

But Papa she’s not a stranger,Luna insisted

I looked at Zhilay, then back to luna

"Luna baby can you give papa few minutes to talk to the miss" I coaxed in a low voice

"Pa..." Luna started.

"To your room now luna" I said in a firm voice

I waited until I hear the bang of her closing the door to her room.I turned to the miss taking her in from head to toe,i think she loves casual outfit maybe it because of her work.

How does that concern me."i thought to myself "

I cleared my voice and keep my voice in harsh whisper,she glares at me with her dagger eyes.

"Thank you miss for bringing my daughter home,I appreciate you but i don't accept strangers into my house.you may not be a stranger to luna but you're a stranger to me"i stated.

"I will compensate you bringing my daughter back to safety" I added

"I don't need your compensation,just make sure you look after your daughter or find another nanny for her"She retorted walking to the sitting room to grab her bag "and let luna knows the spaghetti is done and ready to eat" She added walking to the door and shutting it behind her.

I looked toward the kitchen. The steam was still rising.I felt like a prick,i dashed to the door and meet up with her half way to the gate.

"H..hm...sorry do you mind my driver giving you a ride to your place "I asked

"You don't need to do that,I can find my way home"she replied

"No you won't because it’s already late and you won't find a bus to wherever you are going to" I pointed out

"Like I said Mr..."she said

"Romano and stop being stubborn and let my driver take you to your place"I added

"Okay but what if your driver has something else to do,like going back to his family"she said

"He doesn't has something else to do,being a driver is what i pay him to do" I replied

She muttered something to herself which I couldn't hear.i pull my phone from my pocket and call my driver to come to my place.The building beside my villa is mine also but my workers live their to avoid suspicious thoughts from people. The days of being careless are long over ever since I had luna.

The gate opened and my driver walked in,"Boss"he said

"Take this lady to her home for me"my driver eyed me suspiciously before replying

"Yes boss,follow me miss"he directed her

"Thank you for the ride Mr Romano "she said while walking after my driver took the car.

"Uhm"i grunted

My driver opened the door for her and she got in before he moved to his side.The guard at the gate opened it and I watch the car disappeared from my view.

I combed my fingers through my hair and turn back going inside,now it's time to deal with luna because I know she will be a pain to my ass. I always feel as if having Luna is a karma that hit.

I jammed the door before climbing the staircase and turned to Luna’s room which is opposite mine,I opened the door gently before peaking inside.i met her lying on the bed with her face pushed into the pillow

"Baby" I whispered,She didn’t move

"Luna i called out again"She turned to her right side to let me know she's not asleep but she doesn't want to answer

I moved to the side of her bed and sit down on the bed,I pat a her hair before deciding to speak up again

"Luna,I appreciate the miss for bringing you home but I don't like you bringing stranger to our home,it could put us in danger "I whispered softly

She sit upright before replying

"Papa,zhilay is nice,she can't bring danger to us" she said

"I know baby,but you can never say that why you can't trust people easily"I replied

"I'm sorry,you couldn't reach me,I will get across to your nanny to see what happened" I added

"Okay papa"She replied

"That's my baby girl" I replied

Thanks to heaven this goes smoothly because I don't have much in me tonight to argue.

"Papa I'm hungry"she said

"What did you want to eat baby" I asked

"I want to eat the spaghetti Zhilay and I prepared " she replied

"Okay baby,let's go downstairs,so that I can dish it out for you and give a call to loretta or her husband

On a normal day I won't allow her to eat but I don't think there's any other food to eat at home,I mostly eat out except once in awhile which makes loretta prepare food in small quantities.

I took her hand and we went downstairs,She sat at the dinning while I go inside the kitchen to dish her a plate.

The food smells nice,I dish Luna's food and place it on the table in front of her.

"Thanks papa"She said

I bring out my phone from my pocket and dial loretta's number,after the fifth ring I gave up trying and looked for her husband contact,I dial her husband contact and he picked up

"Hello Andrew " I said

"Good evening Don" He replied
