“…The banished shall become the one to banish and as the bearers of Xymer's Nova, they shall fall first and they and their works shall spread throughout the galaxy conquering them and slaying it's inhabitants to the woe of the cosmic pantheon, who has been bound from interfering with the activities of non-deities. But there is one who by his…”
“No no no no, you can't be serious, it's blank! But how, I
thought the Library held every wisdom concerning Zorvath”
Jiori said to himself in anger but mostly in disappointment as
he read through a book called “ The chronicles of the fall of
Zorvath” the words of an ancient seer on Arthion who
foresaw the future of the entire Zorvath put into writing, these
were her words but the ending as to what she foresaw was never seen, the page which had it seems to have been torn off and it is yet to be found even till the present day Zorvath. Every guardian from the past generations hid this truth from their children and as time went on, the history, the past and eventually the future of Zorvath was forgotten. At some point young Jiori began to feel he was the only one who had an interest in these things.
“Jiori are you there, buddy snap out of it” said Jiori’s guardian as he tried to get his attention but it was as though Jiori was dead but at the same time still alive.
“My apologies, it seems I was gone for a while there” Jiori said as he gave a light chuckle rubbing his hands on his head and walking away hoping nobody noticed anything strange in his behavior.
His guardian stared at him till he was completely out of sight
“What has come up on that kid just at the set of Xymer's Nova all of a sudden?” he soliloquized as he went back to his armory to continue his weapon maintenance.
“Could I have been wrong by not telling them, of course, they would not believe me, they'd say I'm going crazy just like everyone else, why do they just fail to see it, I'll just let it slide, like I never knew anything about any of these or I might actually end up going crazy…” Jiori muttered for quite a while, well, long enough for his guardian who was eavesdropping to piece together what he heard to paint a clearer picture of what this was all about and this got him vexed and he was forced to interrupt.
“Jiori, get a hold of yourself, you're overthinking things, the Pantheon sealed them away in the null vortex a very long time ago, there's no way they could just warp back into Zorvath’s orbit” Jiori’s guardian cut in fiercely.
“But, the prophecy…” Jiori tried explaining
“You dare stand in opposition to my notion! And what solid defense you've got there, ‘the prophecy’ “. How smart of you. Now the sarcasm in his guardian’s voice was obvious enough to him.
“I..I’m so…sor…sorry, sir” Jiori said shakily.
“No” his guardian objected as he got a hold of Jiori then continued “I'll make sure you don't go around carrying such thoughts in your head, as relentless as you can be most of the time, you could go about infecting the minds of these kids in your generation.”
“I said I'm sorry sir” Jiori wailed but no one was around to save him as he was being dragged back into the house.
Infact, who would? None was born with that courage to challenge him: Warp commander Kal, not even his own partner was capable of that. He was more like an autonomous personality
“No, if the thought that's going on in your head is not controlled and it gets out, you'll destroy the future for the next Generation of Zorvathians” Kal countered and Jiori was taken to his base underground.
“Sir…sir please don't I won't tell anyone* Jiori begged but to no avail
“I know, you won't be telling anyone anything” Kal said as he threw Jiori into a time loop prison and pushed the lever of the loop generator activating it and destroying the lever so it won't be possible to disable the loop manually.
Meanwhile, Devin was helping his father work on the Time machine project that the agency decided to come up with a solution for their broken chronon accelerator.
“We've tried fixing this thing a million times and it doesn't look like we're making any progress on this one” Lixam says as he turns to his Devin who has been standing there with him without saying a word.
“Well, I've got to admit, when you're this way you come up with…”
“A hyperdrive engine” Devin said as he he interrupted his guardian who was about to compliment the outcome of his silence
“Come again, say what now!” Lixam exclaimed as to the idea young Devin brought up. “ Go on” he said as he gave out a sign with his hands to draw the attention of the other Scientists nearer
“Okay here goes nothing, so since the chronon accelerators are not responding there is a substitute for it actually but it might need a lot of work and carefulness or else things could go Bomb in here”
“Let's hear it…yeah tell us” the other Scientists were already anxious to hear what Devin had to say
“First, the cruiser with the kind of speed we are looking for should be the breacher right? So here's how it goes: we take the hyperdrive engine from the breacher and inducing a quantum flux capacitor into it using a warp coil.” Devin said as he lifted his head which he had hung down as he was about to give his speech.
“That's incredible… I don't get it…I think I'm seeing the point here..wait a minute…is this a being or he's intelligence itself but in physical form” different reactions spurted from the scientists. Meanwhile Lixam was thinking what Devin said through.
“Yes, exactly I get where he's going to on this, all in favor of an explanation raise your hands”
Everyone raised their hands as Lixam went on to explain
“As we all know from our recent dealings with the space travellers, the breachers one of our best cruisers has the capability of travelling at a speed near that of light. Don't forget it's components the hyperdrive engine which we put much emphasis on it's boosting, now though it's made for hyper space traveling if a warp coil that's used for generating warp fields for space-time travel there could be a distortion and this could disrupt the balance of the space-time Continuum and could endanger the our lives and everyone in this galaxy. Which is why we are not just inducing any random thing into it…” Lixam pauses as he looks as his crew, “ Don't tell me you all are sleeping on me in the middle of a very crucial explanation”
“No sir…we're all ears sir…ain't nobody falling asleep here sir” the crew responded.
“Yeah you better not because we're almost getting to the interesting part. We’re inducing the Quantum Flux Capacitor, now this is what's going to save us from the trouble I spoke of, it's duty is to stabilize and regulate the flow of energy by so doing, serving as a barrier against any form of energy fluctuations.”
“All those who get and are in favor of what I'm saying here give me a booyah” Lixam said anticipating a lively response from his crew.
“Booyah sir!” They all shouted in excitement as it seemed to them they've just received the solution to their biggest challenge so far.
“Heyy heyy heyy” Lixam cuts in. “I said you all should say booyah and not booyah sir. Come on, if u were on Kronar with the soldier people, ain't no way you would have done that, so give me a booyah”
“A booyah” they whole crew chorused just to make a charade out of the whole matter.
“You know what, just go, you're dismissed” said Lixam in annoyance turning to Devin
“What I told them, Devin, that's what you meant to say right?”
“You got it” Devin replied as his guardian hugged him and he went into the inner chambers to take a break.
“What a smart kid”
Lixam watched him go down the elevator to the inner chambers.
While in the elevator that leads to the chambers Devin was busy thinking
“Xymer's Nova was almost coming up again and no Jiori hasn't called or anything since he got home. What could be wrong with him, I noticed him looking bothered about something but it has never been an excuse for not calling, could something have happened to him…no don't be negative Devin” these were the thoughts on Devin's mind at the moment, he was almost unconscious of his environment till he walked down the hallway leading to his chambers and nearly stumbled and fell but his anti gravity belts made him float. He turned it off and stopped to think for a moment.
“I've gotta call Raaul…”
He said, rushing into his chambers and picking up his dialer…
