Le Beuf and Dupont are sitting in the coffee shop on the corner a block away from the police station. They have been on the case for the missing German for two weeks now. No leads. Other tourists saw him with the school group but nobody can say for certain if they ever saw him alone or with a stranger.
"I think that he disappeared on purpose, maybe he is tired of his life in Germany and this was a way for him to put everything behind him. I think we should pass this case back to the missing persons department, there are more important cases for us to solve. Murder cases, seeing that we are homicide detectives" Dupont says sipping her coffee.
