Enzo drove Jess home, stopping just in front of the mansion. As she stepped out of the car, Hunter was on his way out. Seeing Jess emerge from Enzo’s vehicle, a pang of jealousy tugged at his heart. He quickened his pace toward them, his mind racing with thoughts.
“Hey, love,” Hunter called out, his voice trying to mask his underlying emotions. “You should have called me to pick you up.”
Without hesitation, Hunter reached her and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close. He kissed her with a mix of possessiveness and affection, as if trying to stake his claim in front of Enzo.
Enzo watched the scene unfold, his annoyance clearly etched on his face. He tried to look away, but his eyes were drawn back to the couple, unable to hide his frustration.
