We were all gathered on the palace's main terrace, the beautiful stone balcony offering a panoramic view of the gardens where I'd nearly died less than an hour ago.
The contrast between the peaceful setting and the violence that had just occurred made everything feel dreamlike and wrong.
The healers were with Alpha Caelum, and he had demanded we stay with him as they did their thing. My eyes were set on the glowing blue light that came from their hands.
