Chapter 11: Not AloneZeke walks all through the house with Elijah following right behind him, clinging to his jacket. They even walk all the way around the perimeter of the house outside before Zeke takes Elijah through the house a second time just to satisfy him that they aren’t in any immediate danger.
Elijah looks through each room, checking every hiding place he can think of. After over an hour of searching, he accepts Zeke’s right. There’s no one there but the two of them.
