Nezha whipped his head towards his wife.
"What goal are you talking about?" he asked his wife with a frown on his face.
With a small smile on her face, Anna answered, "To get rid of that witch of cause."
His frown deepened even more after her answer. He has always known that his wife hates Christina, but he did not know it was this deep.
With a frown on his face, Nezha asked, "Why would you want to get rid of her?"
Anna retorted back with a scoff, "This is what I was afraid of. She is going to be the downfall of the Kuchiki Clan. This clan has never had any scandals, but within a year and a half of her marriage; she has already managed to ruin this family's name on her first engagement. We will be the talk of Japan now; how will I show my face to the public now, I will be known as the unruly mother-in-law."
With a frown, he said, "It was clear that she did not start the fight."
Nezha spoke what was on his mind. The moment he saw the video, he knew, but he did not want to poke the already bubbling lava. He would rather hold his peace than see to her turn her anger towards him.
With disbelief on her face, she said to him, "When have you started to defend her?"
She looked at him, expecting an explanation from him, but to avoid more conflict, he just simply shook his head, no.
But when he saw the look she was giving him, he knew his will not take his vague answer, he had no choice but to say something.
"I am not defending her; I am just being honest." With a sigh, he rubbed his temples
"Honestly, since when have you started to favor the little witch?" Nezha is getting more frustrated with his wife, who doesn't stop screaming.
"I am saying what I have observed." He said with gritted teeth.
He is really trying to keep his anger at bay, but she is just too blinded by anger to notice the change in behavior of her husband, but she just kept going on and on.
"It does not matter any more the damage is already done, but I will stay true to my words, I will make her life a living hell. She will wish she never agreed to get married in this family. "
She started to feel like her chest was constricting.
Nezha looked around the living room before saying, "Just be careful of what you are doing, you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of mother and father; they love that girl like their own blood".
With the couple still arguing, they do not see Yuuki, who just entered the room and was standing behind them.
"I don't even know why they love that girl so much, because she is a curse." Yuuki's face is growing darker with each word Anna was saying.
She was about to intervene when her son spoke.
"Curse or not, she is the Lady of this clan and your daughter-in-law, the sooner you accept that the better it will before everyone." Nezha tried to reason with his wife.
Yuuki decided to see where this conversation was going.
"She is a disappointment, and she is degrading the name of the Kuchiki and she is nothing of mine", Anna wasn't willing to back down, she wanted everyone to see what she saw in Christina.
Nezha scoffed and asked, confused. Lately, his wife had changed, and he barely recognized the woman he married. "How is she degrading it when she is of Royal blood and nobility?".
His wife returned his scoff with her own, "Her status of birth does not matter," she said, feeling confident with her what she just said.
"Then what matters?" Nezha asked as he was really confused.
He asked himself many questions regarding this matter, but every time he thought he had come to a conclusion, she changed the direction of her hatred. This woman is a stranger. The woman he married and loved is no longer there. All he sees is just a vessel that used to be his wife.
Anna was about to answer with the same confidence when a very familiar voice asked, "Yes, what matters?"
Her face started to turn pale, and when her mind started to recognize the booming voice, she was paralyzed by the angry voice that echoed through the living room
"Father!" Toru came out of the shadows with Yuuki.
"Do not father me, I am disappointed in you. You are supposed to be a mother to that child; not throw so much hatred and degrade her." Toru stared down at Anna with so much distain that his mouth started to turn sour, like a whole lemon was shoved down his throat.
With a sad look, Yuuki asked her daughter-in-law, "Anna, have I not welcomed you and taught everything that I knew?"
Yuuki's face is getting worse with every passing second, when she remembers what she has overheard from the two people in front of her.
"Okaasan, you did." Anna hung her head low, not from feeling guilty that she was degrading Christina but because they overheard her and she is trying to always be in their good books,
But Yuuki just shook her head no, disappointed with Anna's behavior. "Then why cannot you do the same with Christina? Why do you hate her so much?"
Her heart broke with what she has just heard from the person she has accepted as her own child and nurtured her to the person she was supposed to be today but it appears that she has failed in that department. The only question she asks herself is,'Where have I gone wrong?'
Anna tried to justify herself "Okaasan I don't hate her. She is not fit to be the Lady of the clan and..."
Toru interrupted Anna by raising his hand.
