The Blue Eyed Wolf

Chapter13

Soon with John's help, we had food on the table just as mom and dad entered the house.

" Hello," John and I say in unison.

They smile at us, and together we all sit at the table.

We then started eating. No one really spoke, but I can tell by the look on both John and dad's faces, they were most likely mind-linking about today.

I looked at mom. She smiled at me.

As soon as dinner was done, John and dad made their way upstairs to talk.

Mom and I watched some TV. I kept my eyes glued to the window though.

I can't wait till I go see Connor tonight.

Soon enough, my mom went upstairs as well, and I went to my room till midnight.

By the time it was midnight, I left my room. The others were asleep. I made my way down the steps and out the back door and made my way towards the forest where Connor was.

As I got closer, I could see him waiting for me where the trees started becoming too much for others to see him.

He smiled and embraced me when I finally got to him.

I hugged him back right away without hesitation.

Once I let go, he took my hand and gently took me towards the spot where he was sleeping.

" Hey Connor?" I ask.

" Yes Amber?"

" Do you think we could go for a run tonight? I haven't shifted in a few days and my wolves are begging me to go for a run," I say.

He smiles back at me. " Of course we can," he says.

Soon we got to the spot where he sleeps, we then went behind separate trees and quickly got undressed and shifted into our wolves.

I came out from behind the tree as my solid white wolf to see Connor already there as his wolf with beautiful shades of grey and those amazing blue eyes.

I walked over to him. He nudges my head with his and starts walking forward and looks back to make sure I'm following.

I do. I quickly followed him and soon we were running. Me only a step or two behind him.

The wind felt amazing on my face as we ran. My wolf was enjoying the run. She always enjoys running, but she enjoys it more because Connors is with us.

' I think after the run we should tell him about the rogues around our territory.' Says my wolf.

' I agree.' I say back.

Connor and I ran pretty far. We arrived at a small pond that was deep in my pack's territory.

We stop right next to it. Both of us are panting heavily.

We end up laying down. I curl into him, and he just lies around me in a protective way.

It's nice. I've never been able to do anything like this before. I really enjoy spending time with my mate.

It's fun and I love to just sit with him and enjoy the time we have.

Somehow I end up drifting off to sleep.

I am soon woken, however, with him nudging me with his nose.

I wake slowly and look at him. It's still very dark outside. I look in his eyes. He has a frantic and worried look in his eyes.

I stand up and he follows quickly. I follow him and we run for the woods.

I don't know what's going on, and it's kinda scaring me.

Snarling is then heard all around us. We continue to run as fast as we can.

I look to the side and see three huge solid black wolves with red eyes. Rogues.

Connor looks to the side as well and sees two wolves around him. He then looks back ahead, and we continue to run.

Then two wolves pounce and tackle Connor, sending them rolling at full speed. The other three surround Connor.

I slow down and turn around. Connor is howling. He's telling me to run. I can see the look in his eyes. Then one bites down on his shoulder, and he snarls at it and tries to bite back.

I take a step towards him. He continues to fight, but howls at me again. The look in his eyes is more frantic and worried.

I then got up and took off, running back to where he sleeps.

I don't want to leave him, I can't leave him, but I have no choice. If I stayed I'd get hurt and Connor would hate that. I have no choice but to run back.

I soon made it there, changed back and slipped back into my clothes.

I then started pacing nervously. I am so worried about him.

After what felt like forever, I hear twigs snapping. I look to see a wolf emerge from the trees.

I instantly relax when I see the grey fur and blue eyes.

Then I notice he's hurt and limping. He lifts his head and sees me standing there. Blood is all over his in a few spots where he got hurt, that, or it's blood from the rogues.

He walks forward to me and I have him lay down.

I sat next to him and struck his fur. He presses his face into my hand and let's put the smallest of whimpers.

I lower my head and place a small kiss on his head. His eyes snap open when I do, and he looks up at me.

I smiled because even as the wolf formed he looked a bit shocked.

After a while, I had to leave. He quickly runs behind a tree and comes back around in his clothes and walks up to me.

" What happened to the rogues?" I say.

" Their dead. All of them," he says.

I nod. I don't know how he killed them all on his own, but oh well. I don't really need to worry about that. Connor is safe and, right now, that's all I wanted to know.

" I was going to tell you about the rogue sighting, but apparently I didn't need to, given the fact that they showed themselves before I could," I say. He just nods.

" It's fine, no need to worry about that little detail. They're gone, you're safe and that's all that matters," he said. I smile and nod.

" Thanks for staying with me, Amber," he says after a few seconds. I can tell he's still a bit hurt,

" Your welcome, Connor," I say.

We then just stare at each other. After a couple of seconds, I saw him start leaning in. I just stay where I am.

His lips hover over mine for a few seconds before I make the decision and close the small gap in between us.

The second our lips connect, sparks erupt and it's beautiful.

His arms find their way around my waist and mine go around his neck, and he pulls me in closer to deepen the kiss.

We soon break apart panting and out of breath, but as happy as can be.

" I'll see you tomorrow, right?" says Connor. He grinning at me. His eyes hold nothing but pure joy and happiness. That is also what I feel.

" Oh, you can count on that," I say. I also can't stop grinning, and I don't think I want to.

He somehow grins wider and gently kisses me one more time before he lets me go.

I then back up. " Bye Connor," I say.

" Bye Amber. See you tomorrow night," he replies sweetly. I nod in reply.

I smiled again and took off from my house and quickly made it through the door, up to my room and into bed before they even noticed I was gone.

I don't know how, but I managed to get some sleep. I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

I just had my first kiss, and it was from my mate, and right now my wolf and I couldn't be happier.
