CHAPTER 13

Kan-song laid on the shrubs. He listened cheerfully to the soft whistling sounds of birds flying above him, unaware of his surroundings as he let the cool warm breeze descend on him. " You could have come through the door, not trying to scale the fence. " A tiny, sweet, melodious voice rang out from a corner. His heart skipped a beat, and he arose Immidiately. He dusted his curly hair, pondering on his destination and whereabouts. His face was contorted in rage, eyes blazing with fury as he spluttered and spat, "You wicked enchantress! How dare you cast a spell on me and trap me in this... this...pottery prison!" He pounded his fists against the earthen walls, his voice echoing off the damp, dark interior. "I demand to know where I am! This is not the marketplace I arrived at, I'm sure of it. Your sorcery has brought me to some forsaken place, and I will not rest until I break free and make you pay for this indignity!" His anger was palpable, his words dripping with venom as he glared into the darkness, his mind racing with thoughts of escape and retribution. He overheard the shuffling of footsteps, and he instinctively turned to behold the beauty, moving around to the other side. His mind travelled, and his brain went extinct as he marvelled at the looming graceful figure. She had a sensual lip, her eyes were enchanting ,her face well smoothened, and her skin colour, well toned. She had a bright smile that could lit up the heart of all men who beheld her. Her red French plait hair was tossed gently by the air. She was dressed in a sky blue sleeveless dress and wore a green pendant round hr neck. She had an average height with a mix of Mother Earth's pride. As she turned to the corner, she saw him. And her world stopped. His eyes sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight, his hair was perfectly messy, and his smile...oh, his smile could light up a room. she felt like she'd been punched in the gut, her breath caught in her throat. He was too handsome, too perfect. she just couldn't handle it. "I'm Malia, you look famished, care for a meal with us." She proposed. He was taken aback as he walked down the garden. He was used to women batting their eyelashes and asking for his autograph or a selfie, but this was different. He was stunned. No one had ever asked him out like that before. He was used to being the pursuer, not the pursued. And certainly not by someone who didn't fit the traditional mould of the women he usually admired. He was intrigued, to say the least. 'Uh, yeah, I could eat,' he stammered, trying to play it cool. As they walked into the house, Kan couldn't help but notice the way his new companion's eyes sparkled in the sunlight. This was definitely a first, and he wasn't sure if he was ready for it. But he was willing to take a chance." It was lunchtime. "The table was a vision of sweetness, with an array of steaming dishes that tantalized the taste buds. Malia's parents sat, eating slowly when the curtain flung open and she arrived with Kan-song. "Dad, we have a visitor." She stated, pointing at him. He nodded at them," Greetings." He greeted. Malia smiled. " I found him famished and hungry, lying helplessly in the garden, so I decided to bring him in." Kan-song fidgeted as he stared fiercely at her. "What?" He murmured to himself in disbelief and amazement. First was degradation, now humiliation. Malia's dad, Mr. kang, peered anxiously into his face, his eyes roving all over his body. " Don't try to fool us. I recognise your dress. This is a corporate suit worth half a billion dollars. Your aura and style insinuate a different meaning." He paused a bit, glancing at malia, who lowered her head. " Have a seat, young man." He gesticulated, beckoning on him to take a seat. They both sat comfortably, the food was dished out, and he took a heart-warming bite of the chicken salad. "So tasty." He complimented. "These are all we have. Please enjoy." Mrs kang stated, her tone, casual. He nodded at her and continued with the savouring delicacies. As they sat together, malia couldn't help but notice the way kan's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled to himself, savouring the flavors of his lunch. She found herself drawn to the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck, and the gentle way he chewed, his lips moving in a slow, sensual rhythm. As they ate, their legs touched under the tiny table, sending a spark of electricity through malia's body. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her face grew warm. She tried to focus on her own food, but her gaze kept drifting back to kan, taking in the strong lines of his jaw, the way his eyes sparkled when he laughed. malia couldn't believe she was having this reaction to someone she'd just met. But there was something about kan that drew her in, something that made her want to know more about him, to be closer to him. As they finished their meals and prepared to part ways, malia felt a pang of disappointment. She didn't want this moment to end, didn't want to stop feeling the warmth of his presence beside her. Mr. kang raised his head and glanced at him. "You look comfy and foreign. How did you end up here?"
