CHAPTER 10

Kan - song stood firmly at the most expensive and well furnished private ward, hands crossed behind, right below his waist. His eyes marvelled at the luxurious and fantastic landscapes, as the mornings radiance spills across the city, towering skyscrapers, adorned with glittering glass and steel, pierced the sky like shards of splintered light. Their rooftops, still kissed by the nights gentle dew, glimmering like a scattering of diamonds against the vibrant blue. The road seemed to finally come to life, morning had fully come, wagons rattled past, there were many voices and the sound of the bells on passing trams, with and among it all was woven the twittering and chirping of insects alongside the humming of birds, flying high above the exulnerating skyscrapers; there was a radiant blue light, a soft mild air accompanied with all pleasures of life. He noticed a slight, sluggish movement on the sick bed, a few meters behind him. She had earlier collapsed in his embrace, looking cute and neat. Her appearance as a whole was blessed with all good tidings. She lay serenely on the bed, a vision of ethereal beauty, as if the heavens had bestowed upon her the gift of loveliness. Her skin was like polished glass, translucent and delicate, with a subtle sheen that hinted at an inner radiance. Her features were finely chiseled, with high cheekbones, a slender nose, and lips that curved like a rose petal. Her eyes, though sunken from illness, still shone like sapphires, sparkling with a hint of mischief and kindness. He offered to take very good care of her into the most accredited and wonderful hospital in the country. He wondered if she was awake and miserable, a breeze of romantic fate and pre - destined attachment blew over him, entangling him into the wonderful aura and blissful atmosphere, there was absolutely no reason why they shouldn't develop a friendship and special attraction coupled with a series of long lasting affection for each other. She had woken up, staring at him from a close distance. She had admired him to such a distance that she became nervous for him. How would he be able to face her with the proper firmness of manner without allowing her appearance to act as a reproach to him. How would he be able to succumb to the feeling and assume a normal relationship with her when all he could clearly think of was her. A moment so pleasurable, so romantic, so delightful, an attracting scene of mutual love, covered with a profound taste of trust and unrelenting reliance. She lifted her back and sat softly on the bed, frozen with anxiety and fear as her brain was struck with the astounding event. She recalled the deliberate accident, being hit with magical impulses, controlled by an extraordinary being, floating disorderly in the air, moving in a despicable yet wonderful way. An experience that would forever remain green in her memories. He turned and glanced at her. His eyes blazed at her for one strange and senseless second. She kept mute, meek, and quiet. There was this strange, heavy, and yet not loud noise. Her heart stood still. It was a soundless noise, emancipating from her inner soul, rushing and powerful. Something huge, in violent hushed motion. What was it? What in God's name was this strange and superior feeling ? A cloud of loving atmosphere which she ought to behold. She gazed in fear and amazement at the dazzling and handsome young man, standing a few inches away from her, watching her with a keen eye. He raised his feet and approached her earnestly. " Don't come close!" She exclaimed, picking up a tweezer on the surgical tray, pointing the object at him. " I'll call the agencies if you take one more step. " " After such an encounter, you should have known how meaningless your world and agencies are before me. " He replied, stretching his right palm, pulling the tweezers away from her hand without a direct distance as it flew out from hers and rested slightly on his palm. With a stream of brownish vapours boiling and evolving from his palm, he turned the tweezers into an apple, brought it close to his lips, and had a refreshing, heartwarming - warming bite. She stared in awe, shocked but calm. " Are you a vampire? A demon? or Sci- fi weapon?" She asked, frightened, almost bareful. Kan - song blinked his eyelids softly, raised his head exhaled. " Since we're gifted with such an opportunity to meet at such perplex moments, I'll generously clear your doubts. Seems I underestimated you. " He walked to her, causing her to panic terribly as her heart raced. " Strange! You were meant to remember nothing about me, but somehow, you did. " " Are you a maniac? What in the world are you. " " You must be a genius. I'm a soul taker, a grim reaper, highly feared by demons and malicious spirits, an honest but deceitful creature who seeks the worlds peace. " He stared into her eyes. " A demi - god." He uttered. He expected to see a trembling kid, engulfed with fear and shyness, begging him to spare her life but he was greeted with a lady laughing rapidly, creating a humorous atmosphere, dismaying and making fun of him. He was flabbergasted and lost in thought. " You were the one who hypnotised my friends and manipulated their memories, making them forget about you. Why didn't you do the same to me? Was it intentional?" She wearily asked. He shook his head in disagreement. " Looks like I messed with the governing principles. My powers, skills, and hypnotising effects may not affect you. The yin border needs a query. " As she gazed into his eyes, her heart skipped a beat, like a gentle breeze rustling the leaves of a summers day. His chiselled features, sharp jawline, and piercing gaze seemed to captivate her very soul, drawing her in with an otherwordly allure. " If it's true, then that's the source of your wealth. So you're just a happy man with everything at your disposal, living with ease, faintly fluttered by small daily cares, and all still remains well. " " Yes." he answered assuredly. " That's who I am. I'd love to go somewhere, " He said as he walked to her, his eyes glittering like a bright crystal. Everything occurred slowly before him. He warped the fabric of time, unleashing a temporal burst that slowed the world around him to a crawl. Clocks ticked at a glacial pace, rivers flowed like syrup, and people moved with sluggish deliberation, as if trapped in a perpetual state of molasses. The air thickened, heavy with the weight of delayed moments, while the Kan himself stood still, a statue of kinetic power, his eyes burning with the fierce intensity of a thousand suns. The world paused. Time itself had become his plaything, bending to his whim as he strode through the frozen landscape, a master of the chronosphere. He touched her right hand, slightly carassing her cheeks softly. He peered his magical eyes into hers. "You're not Ayra, yet you look a little bit like her, naughty and loving. He smiled at her naivety, then slowly, he brought his lips closer and kissed her forehead. " Fall asleep." He ordered, subjugating her body system. He brought her blood flow to a reduced level, calming her nerves, soothing her mind and cooling her soul. He instantly sedated her, and her eyelids hugged each other as she fell into a deep sleep, her head resting walmly on his palms. She was cute and beautiful, her hair as black as soot, so charming and exotic. Probably, the most gorgeous lady he had ever seen. He gently placed her head on the bed, restoring the normal state of nature. Trees danced to the wind, birds flew peacefully, water trickled from fountains as he puffed like a smoke into the air, vanishing from sight. At the centre of somewhere strange, there was a slightly lit room, engulfed by darkness, the windows were covered with green curtains, two red sofas were placed opposite each other with a little table at the centre. On the table, a tumbler was placed, barely filled with blood. There were smokes of incense at every corner of the room. Thousands of kan - songs pictures were pinned to the walls. To some, darts were struck into his chest while the rest had heavy red markings beside his neck and across his face, signifying danger, death, and horror. It was an alarming situation he could never think of. A man walked into the room, dressed in a green overall, concealing his identity with a hoodie. He turned on his lighter and tossed it at the pictures. The flames arose, burning the pictures to ashes. He enjoyed the scene, took the tumbler, and gulped in the liquid. Instantly, his eyes shone green and emitted greenish vapours. He smiled menacingly and laughed out loud. He lifted his hands and was highly satisfied with the reddish fumes emitting from them. "Kan-song," He said with all manner of hate. "You have danced in the mortal realm for far too long. Now, you will face the eternal darkness that I bring. Your blood will be the ink that writes the final chapter of your existence. I am the void that will consume you, the shadow that will snuff out the flicker of your soul. Prepare to face the abyss for i come for you." Seems the hunting for the dignified tiger was about to commence, but who was this man 🤔 ...? STAY TUNED
