A masculine figure could be seen standing beside an open window. The entire room was in deafening silence until the man kneeling spoke.
"I'm sorry, Lord Hades. My daughter called off her engagement. Please give me some time. I promise to pay back what I owe you," the man begged as he kowtowed on the ground.
"Javier Payne Falcone, your time is up and you know the kind of debt you're into," Hades reminded.
"I'm aware, but please, I still need some more time," Javier pleaded.
"Blood debt. How do you intend to repay me? Obviously, I don't need your money anymore," Hades replied.
"Please, I'll do anything, but please spare my family," Javier begged even more.
"It's either you bring me the heads of the members of your family, or you give me your daughter," Hades offered.
"Please, Lord Hades. My daughter is too young to be married off.”
"I'll give you 30 minutes to make your choice. Meet me in the study after that time, or you'll have yourself to blame for what happens next."
Hades said, leaving the room.
"What am I going to do? I cannot possibly give out my daughter to a man as vicious as him, and I can't kill my family either. If I end my life, he'll go after my family." Javier said to himself as tears rolled down his cheeks.
"My dear Jaydisse, I'm sorry I had to save us the last time.” Javier cried silently before getting up from his kneeling position and went to Hades' study."
"I've made my decision. I'll give you my daughter in exchange for my blood debt being cleared." a teary, broken Javier said.
"Alright then, go and prepare her, next week Diablo is coming to pick her up." Hades replied.
"Lord Hades, this is my last request. Please take good care of Jaydisse," Javier said.
"You gave her to me in order to clear your blood debt. Now I believe how I handle her should not be your business," Hades replied.
Jaydisse's POV
It was 10:00 p.m. and all of us were still in the living room waiting for my dad to return.
Finally, at 11:29 p.m., my dad came home, surprisingly he knelt down before me and cried.
"My dear Jaydisse, please forgive me. My actions have made me a terrible father, my dear. Have mercy."
My dad said amidst tears
I was shocked. Even my mom and brothers were all confused too.
"What's wrong, daddy? Tell me what happened?" I asked impatiently.
"Because of my selfish reasons, I ruined your life."
My dad cried even more, and it made me worry uncontrollably.
"Dad, just tell me what happened. Please don't keep me in suspense," I said.
"To clear my blood debt, I married you off to a devil.” he finally said, which made my heart shatter. He really married each to the man I feared most in my entire life."Do you mean Hades?"I asked Just, to be sure.
"Yes, dear. I'm so sorry, Jaydisse," my dad apologized as he sobbed.
"Javier, wasn't there another way? Couldn't we escape this?" my mom asked.
"No, Lilith. Lord Hades said it's either Jaydisse or I'll bring the head of all of you," my dad said.
Hades was the most feared man in the whole of Las Vegas. He is a ruthless mafia boss, and he is way older than me. I understood my father, and he wasn't being selfish at all.
I wiped the tears off his face and smiled painfully.
"It's okay, Dad. If I can save all of you, then I'd be ready to sacrifice my life," I smiled.
"No, Jaydisse, you don't have to go through this," Duncan said.
"Duncan is right. I'd happily give up my life to ensure your happiness. Please, run, Jaydisse," Varys said.
"Run away? And let you all die? No way.If anything happens to you guys when I know I can save you all, do you think I'll be able to live? Please let me do this," I pleaded.
"My dear Jaydisse, please think again. I don't want to lose my only daughter," my mom said.
"I think we should plan my wedding. I'm not going back on my words. Let's go to the mall soon. Daddy, when is the wedding?" I asked.
"I don't know, but he said he would send someone to pick you up after seven days," my dad said.
"Don't worry, Dad. I'm cool with this," I said and went to my room.
I shut the door behind me and fell on the bed, sinking my face into the pillow as I cried my eyes out. My life would soon turn into hell. I didn't even know what Hades would do to me. I was extremely terrified as different thoughts ran through my mind. But no matter what it was, I was going to save them.
The Next Morning
I didn't even know when I fell asleep from those thoughts. Well, I should be prepared for what happens next.
I came down from the bed, nearly arranging the ruffles on it before slipping into my bathrobe and heading into the bathroom.

As the water poured down my skin, I prayed that it would wash away all the negative thoughts I had about my marriage.
"Getting married to Hades huh?... I wonder what he looks like," I thought.
After bathing, I settled for a simple red thigh-length dress and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning, everyone," I said casually while smiling as if nothing had happened.
"Jaydisse, do you perhaps have a change of heart?" my dad asked.
"No, Dad. I'm still going to marry Hades. To be honest, I'm kinda curious to see what he's really like," I said with a smile.
"Trust me, Jaydisse. Lord Hades is the King of Terror. Some call him Don Shadow, while some call him Scarface, but people with rank like me call him Lord Hades. He's a dangerous man," my dad said.
"Still, I'm curious. Well, whatever the case may be, I'm not allowing you guys to suffer at all," I said.
"Jaydisse, my dear, please do as Lord Hades says. That way you'll live long. Hades has married more than five wives. All of them died. Jaydisse, you're his seventh wife. Please, my dear, I want you to be the last," Mom said amidst tears.
"Please, I'd appreciate it if you stop crying. I'm going to be fine, Mom. I won't die so easily," I said.
"Jay, we still have a lot to do together, so don't you dare die on me," Varys said.
"Chill, bro," I said while chuckling. "I won't die yet. After all, I still need to defeat you in karate, and you, Duncan—we still need to spar. I haven't tested my new swordsmanship skill yet," I added.
"I'll be waiting, little one," Duncan said and left the table.
I finished my meal and cleaned the dishes before heading upstairs.

Vidal's POV
"Where is it?" I asked as I bore my nails into the nape of the man in front of me.
"I swear, Scarface, I honestly don't know," the man said.
I looked deep into his eyes, my nails digging into his skin, causing more blood to gush out.
"I'm done playing with you. I don't have all day. It's time to take this seriously," I said.
I cracked my fingers before pulling out a dagger from its sheath, which lay on the table beside him.
"Please, Scarface, have mercy on me," the man pleaded.
I sliced off one of his ears, making him scream uncontrollably.
"You're too loud. Shut it, or I'll make sure you never talk forever," I said as the man whimpered silently.
"Where is my shipment?" I asked again.
grabbed his throat forcefully as the man struggled to breathe.
"Where is my shipment? I'm asking you for the last time," I asked, my husky voice filled with anger and impatience.
"It's... it's in Miguel's custody. He took it from me and threatened me with my family... Please, let me go," the man pleaded.
"Too late," I said and twisted his neck immediately.
"You've got some nerve, Miguel. I think it's about time I remind you of your place."

"Diablo, prepare the car. We're going to Miguel's base immediately," I said as I went upstairs, had a quick shower, and changed my clothes.
There wasn't any need for that, though. After all, I was about to get myself all stained with blood.
"Lord Hades, the car's ready," Diablo said as he bowed.
"Alright then, let's go," I replied.

Word reached Miguel's ears about my arrival, so he tightened his security.
I scoffed as I saw his men swarming around his house like bees around a hive.
I came down from the car and took my gun.
"I'll cover you, Lord Hades," Diablo said.
As he was about to move, I signaled for him to stop in his tracks.
"My name is Hades. Don't forget that," I said.
Within the space of three minutes, the coast was clear, and all of Miguel's men were dead.
I adjusted my collar and entered Miguel's house. There, I found him sitting on his chair while smoking.
"I've been expecting you, Hades," Miguel said with a sly smile on his face.
"Show some respect to that name it might just be the cause of your death Miguel"
