[ CAR ]
The black SUV rolled to a stop in front of the towering gates of Westfield State University and Gabriel glanced at Evangeline.
“I guess I’ll see you later, Angel?"He murmured while staring at her.
“Y-Yes"Evangeline stammered with her lips curving into a shy smile. The sound of his pet name for her still made her heart flutter uncontrollably and Gabriel caught himself staring at the innocence in her expression.
“I’ll have Andrew come pick you up. Call me the moment your classes are over, understood?”
"Okay"She nodded quickly, biting her her lower lip without realizing it and his gaze went briefly to her mouth before returning to her eyes.
“Alright… Be a goodgirl, Evangeline.”
The way he said it sent a shiver rushing down her spine, Her cheeks reddened and she quickly lowered her gaze while blushing.
“I-I will"She whispered, unable to look at him. Her fingers twisted in her lap before she finally managed to glance up again.
“Take care of yourself, Gabriel.”
Gabriel smiled. It was rare to see him smile like that.
“Always do, Angel. Don't worry about me and ask Asher to call me, he hasn't been answering my calls"
Evangeline nodded with a smile and she fumbled with the door handle then she glanced at him again one last time before stepping out of the car.
Gabriel's gaze followed her until she walked through the gigantic gates before he ordered his chauffeur to continue the ride with his cold expression returning back to his stoned face.

[ THREE HOURS LATER ]
Isabella walked into the cafeteria with her earbuds tucked in her ear with music flooding her ears. She felt stares of almost everyone on her immediately, burning holes into her skin but she couldn't hear a thing about whatever thing they were saying about her because of the loud music.
The cafeteria was crowded, every table packed with students talking and eating. Her gaze stared around then her eyes landed on her roommate Lidia who was sitting at the far side with an indifferent cold expression on her face that made Isabella pause in her steps.
She wanted to sit with her but her roommate dosen't like her, she doesn't even like people at all. Isabella didn’t understand her but she had tried to be friends with her since they shared a dorm but it was impossible.
Her roommate never spoke to her, never touched the food Isabella cooked, never smiled or looked her way and Isabella has tried so many timesbut nothing worked. No matter what she did, her roommate always looked at her as though she were a stranger and sometimes it made her feel like no one liked being around her.
No one who wanted her around and she had no friends. Not even one.
Isabella's shoulders slumped and she was about to still go to Lidia but then, Darius, Asher’s mute friend walked past her and went to seat beside her roommate but immediately she stood up and left.
Darius had a sad look on his face and Isabella felt a little bad for him. She let out a soft sigh, about to move away and find somewhere else to sit when something hot and cold splashed down her back at once.
The liquid was thick and sticky, splattering against her head and shoulders, seeping down her clothes and dripping across her skin. The stench hit her instantly which made her almost gag in disgust because it smelt so horrible, sour, rotten and unbearable and it was dripping down her clothes, hair and the books she was holding.
Isabella lifted her head up but there was nothing there. No container and No culprit. Her stomach knotted. Who would do this to her? Why? She always minds her business and never offends anyone.
Tears blurred her vision and she tried to swallow it back but it streamed down her face, mixed with the liquid while staring at almost everyone laughing at her.
Some students covered their mouths, others openly pointed at her and she could see some laughing even though she couldn't hear it.
She bit her lip hard but it was useless, the sting of humiliation was too much and she couldn’t stand here anymore and before anyone else could see more tears fall, she turned and bolted from the cafeteria.
Her legs carried her as fast as they could toward the hockey boys’ locker rooms. Her dorm was too far and walking across campus smelling like this was impossible, She’d rather die than endure the laughter, she was already the school’s favorite joke and she didn’t need to give them more.
Isabella pushed into the locker room and she could hear the distant sounds of their practice outside.
She rushed into the shower area and stripped out of her ruined clothes, removed her earpuds, dropped her books and bag then turned on the water and gasped when the ice spray hit her skin before it turned warm on her skin.
It poured over her, rinsing the liquid and smell of whatever was poured on her and her palms pressed against the tiles with her forehead resting there and the sobs she'd been holding it finally broke out.
The water mixed with her tears, streaming down together into the drain, but the ache in her chest refused to leave so she cried harder to let it all out because that would make it all feel better until her breaths came out ragged.
Her throat tightened. Her chest burned and she clawed at the tiles, desperate for air and with trembling hands, Isabella fumbled for her bag on the floor and pulled out her inhaler.
She pressed it against her lips, closing her eyes as she inhaled sharply. The cool burst of medicine rushed into her lungs, filling the tight spaces starved of air and she held it for a moment then exhaled, removing it from her lips before pressing it down again, drawing in another breath and this time the panic eased just a little.
The weight crushing her chest lifte aand she sagged against the wall with a shaky sigh and when her lungs stopped clawing for air, she lowered the inhaler with trembling fingers.
Her body slumped in exhaustion but at least she could breathe again. She set the inhaler gently on the bench and stepped back into the spray of the shower.
The water poured over her head and she lifted her hands to her hair with her fingers sliding through the soaked strands then she squeezed tightly to wringle out the last of the sticky liquid that was stuck there while watching it swirl down the drain.
She did it again and again, raking her fingers through her long hair with more droplets of water cascading from her hair, running down her face and shoulders.
She closed her eyes, tilting her head back under the spray, letting the water fall over her entire body then suddenly she heard footsteps.
Isabella stiffened for a second with fear flooding her veins and her eyes widened the moment she realized that she hadn’t locked the door.
“Who the fûçk left the shower on?”
Isabella recognized the deep masculine voice immediately and her heart nearly stopped knowing it was Asher.
Shit. s**t. Shît. Shît.
Before she run or hide, he strode into the shower room, muttering something else under his breath before taking off his shirt then his shorts with sweat dripping down his skin and he didn't even notice that Isabella was also there until she gasped the moment her innocent eyes went to his c**k.
Asher stiffened. His shoulders went rigid as he turned his head with confusion written all over his face until his gaze landed on Isabella.
Standing there under the running shower with droplets sliding over her curves, racing down her arms, her chest, her thighs then his eyes went down there and Isabella shrieked, turning around.
