LUCIAN'S SACRIFICE He came back on a Thursday. Not to Silverwood, to the Northern Council offices, where he presented himself to Elder Cavendish's aide at eight in the morning with a sealed document and a formal request for protective testimony status. Cavendish sent word to us by noon. I read the message twice. "He wants to testify," I said. "Against Ashvale," said Soren, reading over my shoulder. "And against the two suspended council members."
