|Katherine| “You’re being ridiculous,” I hissed, heat rushing to my cheeks as I strode toward the shore. “I was just talking to someone.” The wet sand squished under my feet until the waves rolled over them, cool and soothing, as though the sea itself was trying to wash away the tension clinging to me.
