I woke up to the sound of voices outside the door, tensing in an attempt to hear what they were talking about. I managed to pick on my name being mentioned, but they were either too low or too far away for me to hear the rest.
I moved to get up when I sensed something heavy keeping me down. I turned to look over my shoulder, only to find Gabriel sleeping soundly beside me, his hand wrapped tightly around my torso. His face was blissfully relaxed, a small smile tucking on his lips as if he was having a nice dream. I felt my wolf whimper in protest as I moved his hand to rest on the bed, then skidded further away from him until I was sitting at the edge.
I realized I was naked and cursed at myself, wondering what I was supposed to do now. I couldn’t exactly leave in my birthday suit
