I watched as the others gathered their books and headed for the door, talking excitedly about the lecture and their plans for the night. I had already slipped my notes into my backpack and was pretending to look for something while the line of students dragged on. I felt old. I hadn’t been out on a date or an outing in… ever. I didn’t go out at all before having Elijah and after that… it just didn’t feel right. Not that I had that many friends.
