Chapter 7: Fear

The Queen's missing body was something Andy couldn't place together. Nakamaru had shown her the supposed tomb of the last Queen of Eldora, one without her body in it. Andy also kept thinking about the reason why the voice had led her to the name of the Queen's animas. The thought of all of this kept bothering her.

After a while, Andy thought it would be best to seek her dad's assistance in all of this. She felt that he would be able to answer all of the questions in her head concerning the queen, as he had been an elder way before Nakamaru. To her, if anyone would have a clear idea on the case, it would be her dad.

On her way to her dad's room, she bumped into her brother, Alex. He asked where she was headed in such a hurry and why she was headed there, but Andy didn't give him a clear reply.

"I need to talk to Dad about something," she said.

"How important is it?" he asked.

"Not that important, why though?" she asked, curious about everything

"I need to show you something, come with me" he said as he pulled her away, taking her by her left arm and straight to his room.

"I heard and saw something last night,.." he said immediately they had gotten inside his room

"...here, let me show you" Alex said as he stood in front of Andy, swiping his right hand from the left side of the place that Andy stood, to the right, as moving images were slowly formed around them.

"Queen Andrea!" a male voice called out, as Andy turned around to watch what seemed like an event from centuries ago, as she and her brother watched the Queen being chased to the edge of a cliff by some man.

"I saw this in a dream last night" Alex spoke into his sister's ear.

"We need to leave now!" the male voice spoke again as Andy slowly recognized who it was. It was Elder Stefan. He had a bow and arrow in his hands, pointed at the Queen.

"Stay away from me, Dante!" Queen Andrea yelled at Stefan's doppelganger, as she took a step backwards, trying hard to maintain her balance so she doesn't fall off the cliff.

Andy looked around and noticed an animal struggling to get out of a trap, as multiple ropes were tied on it and held by multiple soldiers. After staring at the situation for a while, she figured out that the animal wasn't just any kind of animal, it was the Queen's Animas, Ruthala.

Ruthala had the form of a brown bear, with white hair tied into three parts on his chin, like a Chinese teacher in ancient Kung Fu.

"It is for your own good, come with me right now" Dante said as he adjusted his bow and arrow again, showing how serious he was on letting go of the arrow in an attempt to hurt her.

"No Dante!" she yelled as Dante shot his arrow and the queen got hit.

"No!" Andy screamed with one of her hands stretched out as she tried to run, but was stopped by Alex.

"They can't hear you" Alex reminded her, as he pulled her back and they both watched the Queen's falling body.

Ruthala bawled as he broke the rope that was holding him back and ran to try and save the queen from falling off. Immediately he got close enough, multiple arrows were shot at him, causing Ruthala to fall off the cliff to his early demise.

"No!" Andy screamed. She felt everything, the hurt going through her body like she was in the Queen's position as bent her head and wept.

After a few moments of watching this, Alex slowly cleared all images he had created with his gift, and soon enough all that was around them were stuff from his room.

Andy finally stopped sobbing after she felt a weird presence around, and decided to talk to her brother as she lifted her head. Instead of Alex, she saw Stefan in front of her, bearing a knife in his hands. She slowly took a few baby steps backwards, in fear, as she talked to him.

"What do you want?" she asked, quivering.

"Nothing much," he said "Just...you" he aided his last word with an evil smirk.

"Why?" she asked, silently trying to open the door by twisting the door knob without alarming Stefan.

"A whole lot of reasons. You'll find out soon enough" he said as he moved a few steps closer, tossing the knife from one hand to the other

Andy had finally gotten the door opened and tried hard to stop Stefan from seeing the little space opened between the door and the wall. She had something else in her hand, a little trick up her sleeve. She was sure she would escape if everything went according to the plan in her head.

"Well, good luck...and while you're at it, say hello to the bird for me" she grabbed the piece of technology her dad had given her on her tenth birthday in her pocket, pulled it out and immediately pressed a button that looked like the switch. Stefan turned after he felt a sharp pain on his back. Several darts were shot at him from what seemed to be the mouth of a built and fixed bird.

While Stefan was trying his best to handle his personal situation, Andy opened the door wide and ran away. She had only managed to run a few meters when she noticed Stefan gaining in on her.

"Andrea, stop Andrea!" he yelled for a few moments while trying to catch up with Andy

"He thinks I'm Andrea?" she asked herself as she ran, pushing everything she could to the floor. She pulled the table behind her, hoping it would serve as a blockade for Stefan so she could escape, but he pushed it away immediately he came close to it and kept chasing after her.

"I'm not Andrea!" Andy said as she picked up the bow and arrow close to the house's exit and shot Stefan. His right leg got hit as he stopped moving for a little while. After staggering for a while, tired of enduring the darts stuck in his body, he bent down and broke the arrow from the surface of his skin, leaving the arrowhead stuck in his leg as Andy watched in fright.

She opened the door and ran outside but was stopped by the countless soldiers standing in front of her house with different weapons aimed at her with intent to kill.

"Surrender peacefully, Andrea" Stefan said as he came out of the house and stood close to Andy.

"How many times must I say this, I. Am. Not. Andrea!" she yelled as she felt some kind of power surge flowing through her and a light so bright it could almost ruin their eyesight. She was furious, filled with so much anger and couldn't control what she was doing at the moment.

"Ready..." Stefan said once he wasn't close to Andy anymore

"...Fire!" he gave the order and all the soldiers bearing arrows shot them at Andy.

Once Andy noticed the numerous threats against her, she was scared and the power surge that was flowing through her was lost immediately.

"No!" she screamed, using her hands to cover her face when she saw some of the arrows close enough to her. The thought of getting killed like this got her so scared she could almost wet her pants
