Janr went back to the deye tribe and covered himself as a stranger. Janr after so much hiding among the deye tribe, a guard recognised him and he was arrested. On getting to the Palace the king ordered janr to be released and sent to a residence closed to the residence of the chief commander of the deye tribe. The daughter of the commander hated janr from the very moment they saw each other. But janr fell in love with her. Later that evening the eldest brother of zoye wanted janr dead so he planned to add sleeping pills to janr's food to make him sleep so that he can attack janr, but unfortunately janr saw the Prince. janr went and mixed his food and that of diju the commander's daughter together. Janr was served and also diju that evening, when both finished eating they mistakenly collided and entered one room together, diju and janr slept on the same bed till the next morning. One of the Kings guard had already reported janr was found with diju on the same bed. King chaka summoned the both of them to the Palace. When they got there the high priest read out the traditional rules of their tribe to them. In the policy it states that when a man and a woman who are not married are seen sleeping on the same bed, they will be proclaimed husband and wife. Diju became angry but janr smiled inside himself, because all he wanted was to get married to diju cause of her beauty. The king asked the chief commander if he agrees to the policy. The commander had no choice but to abide by the law. Zoye's elder brother became more angry and eager to end the life of janr.

On the day of the marriage diju planned to escape but her plans failed. She was caught and she had to follow all process. After the wedding diju called one of his strong guard to beat janr to point of death. Janr thought his spell would work for him but he can't do anything because he is born to undergo all human suffering. Janr was flogged fifty stroke of canes, he was told to never speak about this to anyone or else he dies. Janr suffered these pains every day, he was getting used to it already. One night, a man showed up in janr's dream the man had only a smoky face with no legs or hands, he told janr to give him his body. Janr told him, take My body I have suffered already I want to die. The man laughed at janr. You don't need to hurry before I can take your body, you need to undergo all human discrimination and pains. Janr woke immediately he heard a knock on the day, and when he woke up he found out it was already morning and he was called to join diju's families for breakfast that day. When eating janr was full of thought about his dream, the commander called janr three times before he answered. The commander asked him what's wrong, I was just thinking about my beautiful wife, wow that's great, the commander said. But diju knew something was wrong with janr. Few days after spending time with janr, diju stopped janr's daily beating, she started taking janr as his own. But she never trusted janr in anything he does she only pretended to. King chaka got a letter from the jeli tribe that the king has died and the son of Queen suen will be ascending the throne. King chaka was angry when he saw the letter because he knew that if the son of Queen suen succeeds the throne, the tribe of deye will be wiped out. Janr heard about the death of his father and he was not shocked because he had never seen him in person before. King chaka thought of a plan, killing janr and sending his head to bija his brother will please his brother, cause bija wanted him dead. King chaka thought his plans will be a great success.
