End Of The Chakra

“He’ll be here any second now.” Veda informed the guards standing outside the strong room while he smoked a cigar in despair. “Roger that, weapons hot!” The last remaining commander said, turning off his gun’s safety. Distant screams alerted the guards. There were thirty of them, waiting to battle only one man. The screams became less distant as the time passed, and the smell of sweat filled the corridor. And then, they heard a soldier shout near the corridor entrance. It was followed by the sound of a neck breaking and the soldier who was screaming suddenly went silent. Thomas walked in with his hands up. The guards were ready to fire at command. “I just want to talk to Veda. Can I pass?” he asked innocently. “Fire!!” the commander yelled with his finger pointing at Thomas’ head. And then, just in the next moment, his finger touched Thomas’ forehead. In less than a split second, Thomas had teleported from at least a hundred meters away. Millions of thoughts flew through the flabbergasted old man’s mind like how the f**k did he do that? Why aren’t the damn guards firing? He only teleported, right?! The fear-struck man took his eyes off Thomas’ smiling face and looked around. They were all dead; heads ripped off from bodies, throats slit and chests bleeding. Not even a single shot was fired. “Time freeze has its perks, right?” Thomas said, grabbing the commander’s finger. He pulled the finger and severed it from the wrist before the commander could even react. The injured old commander dropped on his knees, holding his bleeding wrist. Thomas walked behind him and took his lips to the wailing man’s ear. “Now, I’m asking for the last time. May I pass?” Thomas whispered. “Who ARE you? How the f**k did you do that?” the crying man said in desperation and confusion. “Wrong answer, old man.” Thomas said in disappointment and pushed the knife inside the enemy’s throat. Thomas took the finger he ripped off earlier to the biometric gate lock as the man coughed in his own blood. He pressed the finger on the lock but it was no use. “Quite the cunning kind, aren’t we? Keeping the security tight and all.” Thomas said and laughed, looking at the camera. “Never mind. I want you to feel it as I slowly cut open this door. Zeus! Get me a laser gun, will ya? Oh, and put on the previous song, it was a good one.” Thomas said, cracking his neck. Thomas set up a plasma charge in his laser gun just as the hardcore song reached its apex. Then he got down on his knees to control the massive recoil. “Knock knock, b***h!” Thomas said and squeezed the trigger. The sleek blue beam of 4100 degree hot light cut right through the gate. Thomas started from the left side in the middle of the huge metal vault, and took it all the way to the right. He then stopped, threw away the used charge and replaced it with a fresh one. With another swift cut, he cut the gate from top to bottom. And finally with the third one, he made a nice circle to free the door from the hinges. A huge plus sign was visible on the door from where the beams had intersected. Thomas threw away the gun and walked up to the gate. “Uh….listen, I’m coming in and you can’t do s**t to stop me from killing you. So don’t do anything funny or else I will show you more ways to inflict pain then there are people left in your gang.” Thomas shouted. He kicked the door in the middle, right where the laser marks intersected. He warmed up his legs a little before kicking it for the second time. This time, the door split into four parts and fell apart with a huge crashing sound. When Thomas walked inside of the room, he doubled up in laughter. Veda was crawling on the ground, trying to get out of harm’s way. His legs had been separated from the torso, most probably by the lasers coming from the other side of the door. “Trying to run off, were we?” Thomas said and lifted one of Veda’s legs. He went to Veda and kicked him in the balls as hard as he could, using his own torn off leg. Veda screamed at the top of his voice while Thomas took up a chair. “Go on, crawl away you f*****g worm.” Thomas said in disgust. Veda put his pain aside and tried to cover as much ground as he could in desperation. Thomas looked at the act for a moment, and then placed the chair on Veda’s hips. He sat down on it, making sure Veda felt the full weight of his body. Veda flipped his hands around and cursed Thomas. But when it didn’t work, the cursing changed into begging. “You know it was nothing personal. I was just following orders.” Veda pleaded with his hands folded. “So am I. My orders are to wipe pests like you from this city, and I am free to do so in any way I see fit.” Thomas said, shaking the chair to maximize the pain. “Stop! You want me? Here I am, but don’t cause him any more pain. Can’t you see, he has already lost his legs!” Amanda screamed. “And I have lost everything. The woman I loved betrayed me, some street thieves almost killed me, and now I have done things I will never get out of my head. So don’t you dare try to aqueeze out sympathy from me, you f*****g b***h!” Thomas roared as Amanda slowly stepped out from behind the large table. “Always good at hiding, I see.” Thomas said in a sarcastic way. “Always good at violence, like the animal you are.” Amanda threw a reversal. It was like she didn’t understand what was gonna happen to her. Thomas stepped up from the chair, and took out the karambit. “Toying with me hasn’t gone well for anyone, ever.” Thomas said and eyeballed her. “Well, you didn’t love them. But you have given your stone heart to me. So it’s not gonna be easy for you, Tom. I got some few tricks still left.” Amanda said and smiled. Thomas was surprised. The knife dropped from his hand and he walked forward like a man who was tired with his life. “I know you want to end your life. Why not get it over by someone who you loved, if not love still.” Amanda said as Thomas stopped and looked at her face, mesmerized. “Let me do it for you. Lift that knife and come here….” Amanda said.. There was some strange magic in her voice which took Thomas in some sort of trance. He couldn’t help but do as she said. It’s like his hyperactive mind was suddenly shut down. He took the knife. Amanda stuck out her hand and looked into Thomas’ eyes. Thomas got up slowly and without thinking, handed the knife to the only woman he ever listened to. Amanda looked at Thomas for some time, searching any tricks or second thoughts in his eyes. Then with a surprisingly quick blow, she slit open Thomas’ throat. A fountain of blood sprayed out as Thomas gurgled his mouth with his own blood. “It was nothing personal, Thomas. If I had met you as a normal person, I would have loved you till my last breath.” Amanda said with pity in her eyes, gently brushing Thomas’ hair as he dropped down on the ground. His eyes moved around and his head moved weakly, and he held on for an astonishingly long period of time, all the while looking in Amanda’s eyes. But the inevitable happened after some time. his eyes rolled and his pulse vanished. “God! I thought he was gonna bleed forever. I can’t believe he actually fell for that. I’m telling you, even the smartest of men are stupid when they are in love.” Amanda said and laughed as she got up. Her tone was not of mourning, rather it was more like a victorious one. She was pleased and was almost dancing when she went to lift Veda up. But Veda wasn’t so happy. In fact, he was terrified! “Oh, don’t worry. All our problems are solved, thanks to Mr. White. The bosses are dead, and so is their assassin. His agency will think it’s all over and we will rule the city. We will get your legs attached again and live like the rulers of this city. No one would dare cross us. He boasted about his experience and deduction skills and all, but the stupid snitch couldn’t even figure out that we were having s*x while he was asleep. But I mean, I do have good acting skills and and you look too ugly to be sleeping with someone like me….” Amanda said, trying to cheer Veda up. But Veda was in no state of joy. He had a pale face as he listened to Amanda's words. “Oh come on, don’t act like I did something wrong. He would have killed you if I didn’t step in at the last moment. Why are you looking at me like that?” Amanda asked, getting irritated. But the thing that Amanda did not understand was that Veda was not looking at her, he was looking behind her. There, lurking right behind her and listening patiently, was a killer who was just waiting to see how low a human can go. “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t control…” Veda said and started crying. And Amanda went silent. Her body froze and the blood in her veins went cold as she turned around slowly and saw the zombie of the man she had just killed standing right in front of her. “I ca….” she said but Thomas grabbed her face and ripped her head off her body. He threw it down and kicked it again and again, like it was some filth. "She lost me when she lost the confidence." Thomas said and shrugged his shoulders. Veda went into shock. He didn’t move as Thomas came in front of him and went away. “I’ll let the agency handle you. Time to break the Chakra (wheel).” Thomas said and walked away into the remnants of a glorified gang, smoking a cigar as the hardcore music died away.
