“You may raise your head, Lady Maleficent,” said the emperor. Maleficent immediately stood straight and met the eyes of the demon queen Cattleya but decided to avert her gaze upon sensing that the stoic-looking demon queen knew about her and probably her plans.
The demon king chose this chance to call her out. “Lady Maleficent, Lord Lebi, why are you both so late? I was quite worried that you may not be able to attend. You should have come here together with your fathers.” Lucifer paused as if he remembered something before he continued. “Oh right, your fathers went missing together. I wonder what they are up to. But worry not, they are always like that. They will come back when they want to.”
Though her words were laced with worry, the gleam in his eyes could not be mistaken as mockery
