A light knock on the door makes me jump again, reigniting the adrenaline and fear in me. Noah runs to the door and looks out the peephole. He turns to me and gives me the okay. I stand, unsteadily, and advance to the door. I turn and look at the boys. They are still asleep and we quietly step out into the hallway. "Hey, sorry it took me so long. When I got here, I had a word with the manager of the hotel. I asked him to see the footage of the hallway you're on but he said he wouldn't do it without a warrant. I called in a favor with friend of mine and got it expedited. The manager wasn't happy, but he showed me anyway. The footage of this hallway though was vandalized earlier today. He said someone broke the camera at your end of the hallway. There's nothing to go on. I'm sorry." Officer
