62 Mossad HQ, Secure Storage Facility “Are you ready, my dear?” Moshe said to Talia as she stared at the footlocker. She nodded. The footlocker was closed tight by two folding clasps and a hinged lock. All three showed significant rust. Stone flipped open the folding clasps then said, “I’m going to have to pry this lock off.” Talia nodded again, and Stone inserted the pry bar onto the locking mechanism and popped it open. He then slowly opened the lid. The aged metal hinges creaked in high pitched protest. The smell of must and degraded lacquer wafted out.
