She Needs to Know.

Alexs Pov:

Things were great. Life was better than I imagined. Until this happened.....

A letter from the Wisdomed Ones was in my hand waiting to be opened. A letter from The Wisdomed Ones didn't bring good news. The Wisdomed Ones were powerful, intelligent vampires. They were the oldest and had knowledge that knew no bounds. When we needed advice it was them we went to. The Wisdomed Ones were also considered to be power hungry. They were always in search of vampires with rare powers. One of them being me, but I refused knowing that I was needed by the coven.

But they never stopped looking out for me and suddenly my worst nightmare unfolded. The letter said:

Dear Alexander,

We trust you are well. We were informed by our sources that you got married. We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations ,however what greatly disturbs us is that your mate is human. The mating bond is strong and can't be broken we are aware of that but a mating bond between a vampire and human could be a grave danger to our kind.

Therefore we have come up with a solution: You mate will have to be turned if she does she will be accepted into the coven. If you let her stay human, she will have to leave. However the choice is in your hands. Be assured that we want what's best for the coven and the survival of our kind. We trust that you will make the right decision.

They couldn't do this. I just found my mate and I'll lose her because of the Coven leaders. No I won't let that happen. Without my mate I wouldn't be able to rule and the very foundations of the Coven will be destroyed. By evening I decided to tell her the truth.

"April?"

"Yeah?"

"We need to talk."

"About what?"

Its now or never.

"I'm a vampire. "

"Your what?"

"I'm a vampire."

Silence greeted us. April looked shocked but didnt say a word. A few seconds later she spoke:

"Prove it. "

Dejected I shut my eyes and concentrated on transforming. My fangs elongated to my lips and I heard a gasp leave April's lips. I opened my eyes which had turned pitch black. All my senses were hieghtened. I looked at her face which contained nothing but shock.

"Why -why did you not tell me?"

"I was afraid I would lose you."

"What makes you think you haven't lost me already?"

My heart broke at those words. And she left sadness and regret in her eyes.

April's Pov:

My husband's a vampire? Oh My God!!!

I loved reading about the Supernaturals. About how they find their mates, they fascinated me. But they were a myth. But now I realise they are real.

Many questions were swirling in my mind. And only one person could answer them. I walked into the living room and saw Alex sitting with his head in his hands.

"Alex." I called out.

He raised his head and tears fell from his eyes. My heart broke at the sight before me.

"I want to know the truth not a bunch of lies that you will feed me."

"Ok I guess you deserve to know."

"So Im a vampire. I'm a 100 years old. I'm the Prince of Darkness and Light due to which I have certain powers. I can control people's minds,teleport myself anywhere in the world. But I think you should see this. "

He handed me a letter it said that they didn't approve of my status as a human, my presence in the coven would be a danger to the survival of their kind. If I turned I would be accepted if I stayed human I would leave and never see Alex again.

I'm I your mate? He nodded slowly then took my hand. Electricity shot through my body sparks flew. Do you feel that? I nodded. That's the connection we share. A mate is the person that can complete you they are your reason to live without them you lose your sanity. I was afraid of losing you I love you but I'm not selfish to bind you to myself for my happiness. If your happiness is in me letting you go I will even if it kills me.

The sincerity in his words caused me to break down.

How does the transformation process go about?

First there's the marking it takes place on the part where the shoulder and neck join. This tells other supernatural creatures that your my mate. The Second is the fluid exchange where we cut our wrist and let the drops of blood join. Third is the mating stage after this we will be able to communicate with our minds and hear each others thoughts. Its like sharing a soul.

Diring the transformation stage,your senses will hieghten you will gain speed and strength.

The decision is yours. I'll be with you no matter what you choose. And he left leaving me to drown in my thoughts. Did I want this? Im I ready to give my human self to be with Alex? Despite the fact that I love him I didn't know what to do. The survival and peace of two worlds depended on my one decision....
