Anastacia is now walking back home with Jamie. She is expecting to be asked what happened, but not something as direct as that. There are really times when she can’t help but be amazed at how direct Jamie could be. Does he even have no qualms about asking if he has a right to dip his toes into Anastacia’s affair?
It might be overkill if it was made by other men, but Anastacia fully understood his action of doing so.
“Nah. It was nothing. Vivi is just overreacting. That man is one of those worthless pieces of s**t that you can find in the city.”
Like what she first intended, Anastacia never aimed for Jamie to be involved in her personal affairs. It was true that Sion and his mother had no right to berate her like that
