I had never been so glad about hiding this apartment I acquired some years ago from Logan and every one of the brothers.
I never thought it would come in handy, and now it is paying off.
Lifting my head to the rear-view mirror, I glanced briefly at an unconscious Liora.
The tranquilizer gun knocked her out pretty fast, faster than I thought it would. I will never forget the look in her eyes when she thought I was pointing a gun at her.
Fear.
Those emotions are forever etched into my memory.
No matter the extent of her betrayal, I honestly don’t think I could ever pull the trigger. I am so f*****g into her that I am doing something so reckless it could be considered an act of rebellion against the brothers.
