“A new author wants to get transferred to me now.” Marcus announced as he walked into my corner.
Surprised, I lifted my eyes to him. “Which of them?”
“Celine.” He answered. “she was formerly under Loin, but then she requested to be transferred to you.”
That’s strange. “What did Ms. Chloe say?”
Shrugging, he pulled out the chair next to mine and sat down. “You know she doesn’t care who the author is going to, as long as the author is still in the company.”
Chloe has never assigned any popular author to me, and whenever it seems an author is growing under me, she usually transfer them to another editor.
“She sent me to deliver the news to you. Congratulations.” Grinning, he stood to his feet. “Should we head out after work to get a few drink as a form of celebration?”
