RYDER Luca shrank slightly when he saw me approaching. Fear immediately filled his expression. Good. He should be afraid. Tilting my head, I stared at him. "Have you reached out to his sister?" Logan's head snapped upward. "You want to involve his family?" Across the room, Luca visibly paled. "No." He whimpered "Please... don't involve my sister." His voice trembled. "I don't want her involved in this." "You should've thought about that before stealing from me." Luca swallowed hard. I took another step closer. "You should've thought about that before running to her place for refuge when things got hot." "Please..." "Please what?" I crouched in front of him, close enough for him to see there wasn't an ounce of sympathy on my face. "Please forgive you?" His lower lip trembled
