SANDRA The silence in the house was choking. Amy had left for school, and I didn't even remember what time it was, since I had been trying to distract myself the whole day by watching television. Tears welled up in my eyes, stinging and pinching me, but I swiped them away. I learnt during my short vacation that crying wouldn't solve everything. Only some action would. I was tired, and the only thing I could do at the moment was trying to relieve myself of the stress, and the only way to do that was to go shopping. I dressed up quickly - a ridiculously expensive silk dress that I had gotten just months back. Today felt like the perfect day to wear silk. The Anadra plaza glittered under the afternoon sun. They have always been my number one spot to shop, and that was where I was going.
