“Why would Pete drive you crazy?” Mandy asked.
“What?”
It was such a sudden question that I wasn't prepared for the answer. I had just opened my mouth and started blabbering without thinking twice.
“I mean, I understand it when you said you are stressed because of your Dad and Sandra too, but Pete? Isn't he your stepmother's brother? Why would he stress you?”
“I mean everything generally. He has been asking me to go on stupid errands and I so much hate his attitude.” I sounded very serious that Mandy had to turn to me, her face twisted in a funny way. “ I have a problem, right?”
She laughed. “No, you don't.” She was now packing her books and some toiletries she needed. She picked out a dress to wear for school.
“Don't worry, you'll get used to that.”
