I didn't realize that Amy was not very far away from the scene where she texted. I didn't know how I was going to face her now that she was here.
“You need to leave,” I told James slowly, gazing at him. “You need to go,” I said again.
James nodded, looked at me, and stood up. “I'll only leave because you want me to. I'll call you on the phone when you are ready.”
Just as he stepped out, Amy came forward from the back. I noticed that she might not have seen James, seeing that she didn't say anything to me when she came into view.
“I'm sorry, Mandy, my most patient friend. I love you so much!”
I chucked, shaking my head. That was the typical Amy. Dramatic was the perfect word to describe her. She flung herself around me, dancing.
