Chapter thirteen

1315 Words
"Danna!" already familiar heavy voice, shouted behind me. I do not want to talk to him! He grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. I broke free and went to the exit as quickly as possible. Dancing students, like midges, galloped around. I started to feel dizzy. I should have followed the doctor's advice and stayed in bed. I stopped, looked up the nearest wall and walked towards it. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I was starting to feel sick. To hell with it! What can I do for Pattie? Nothing! Even if I find an antivirus program, I may not be able to help her. I won't be able to help her, and I will ruin my health. I slowly slid down the wall, and squatted down. My head was still spinning. I put my head on my knees. I want to go home! Someone came to me and sat down next to me. I didn't look, but I knew it was Dion. "Why are not you in the hospital?" "I was discharged in the morning,"I said without looking up.  "And you, not cured of a concussion, went to the dance?! Clever girl!" the intonations in his voice sounded like he was my father. He's mad? I still haven't lifted my head from my knees. My head continued to spin. I didn't want to listen to moral teachings from Dion at all.  "Shut up! I already feel bad enough!" I growled. "How do you know I have a concussion?" "It was obvious from your condition," his voice was drowning in musical chords. "Who gave you the program?" "What?" "I know you were there" "What are you talking about, Dion?" I raised my head and looked at him. He sat next to me, our knees touching. He looked at me, narrowing his eyes, as if checking my words for lies. He leaned towards me, so I could feel his breath. Drunken breathing. Dion is drunk. What idea will come to his drunken head, no one knows. I have to run from him. He got even closer, and touched his lips to my ear. Typhoon chills swept through my body. "Anyone who uses unlicensed worlds, the irises become lighter. Very light. Your irises are amber now. In normal condition, black, right? The effect lasts only half an hour, so don't worry. But the question remained. Who gave you the program?" "None of your business!" I got up and went to the exit. I removed the ring from my finger, pressed a small button, and a mask was already in my palm. I went out into the darkness. The light from the buildings lit up the road quite a bit. The rising wind tore apart the night, bringing more stench from the streets with it. I wanted to get home faster. My head was buzzing, and the nausea did not go away.  "Danna! Do not go away?" It was heard behind me. "What do you want from me?" I screamed.I turned sharply and buried my nose in his chest. He laughed, throwing his head back. The laughter through the mask was muffled, but sincerity blossomed in it. Too much Dion in my life has become. Instead of lightness from his laughter, irritation arose in me. I pushed him away, and tried to put into words as much anger as possible: "Leave me alone! I don't have to explain or tell you anything." "All I want is to keep you safe! Don't look for anyone! Just live on!" "And I want to save my friend!" I was already preparing to stamp my foot to enhance the effect of my words. The wind was getting stronger. Thunder was heard somewhere in the distance. I need to go home faster. Rain is as toxic as air. I took a step back. "You can't save her! Why don't you understand this?!" Dion said sharply. His words didn't just hurt, they tore me to little pieces. Dion took a step towards me. "D, where are you?" the girl with red hair went out onto the porch of the gym. "Your girlfriend is calling you," I said, turned around and went home. This time he did not call me again. The wind became even stronger, then urging me to the house, then not allowing me to take a step forward. The air temperature dropped. The thunder became closer. The road is halfway, walk for another fifteen minutes, if not more. At least to have time, before it rains. A dry branch fell nearby. I jumped back. Why did I go to the dance?! I tried to speed up the step, but to no avail. A hurricane began. I looked around in search of shelter. The rain will go at any moment. Hair flew around the face, making it difficult to see everything around well. The nearest entrance to the student dorm is mine. Half of the buildings are closed, and I can not go there and hide. And I won't have time to get to my place. I stood in the middle of the road like a tumbler swaying in the wind. Tears appeared in my eyes. I will die now in the poisonous rain.  Someone grabbed my hand and dragged me to the closed case. I wanted to scream. But it was Dion. Again. Nearby. Thunder thundered over us. He walked quickly. I follow him. The heel on the boot almost fell off, slapping along the sole like flip flops. I tried to keep up with him. The wind interfered with our movement, leading us astray. A branch fell next to us, nearly knocking me over like a bowling pin. I screamed, but my voice was drowned in the noise of thunder. The first lightning bolts rolled through the clouds. Dion looked up at the sky as if scolding the sky for the weather. And he ran. I ran after him. My heart seemed to run faster than me and was already overtaking Dion. I stumbled. He managed to react, pulled me to him, before I fell. He looked at me, picked me up and carried me to the building. The first drop fell on my sweater. I hugged Dion's neck. “We’ll be in time,” he whispered and ran faster. Dion's heavy breathing touched my neck. "I can run!" I said, although I understood that a broken heel would not let me do it. He said nothing. Another drop fell on the sleeve of the sweater. I was afraid to look back. If the nearest building is far away, then we will now receive a huge dose of chemical poisons. The drops on the sweater turned light green. I hid my hands in my sleeves, I covered Dion's head with one hand, the other held on to the neck. The drops became more. Green specks quickly appeared on the sweater. I closed my eyes and buried myself in Dion's neck. The drop stung my open shoulder. We stopped. Minute. We are not moving. I opened my eyes. We stood under a canopy in front of the entrance to a closed building. The rain was getting worse. "We need to go inside,” Dion said heavily. I moved to get off his arms. But he was in no hurry to let me go. I looked at him. Green eyes studied my face without stopping. It seems to me that he even stopped blinking. Everything inside me clenched. Has the air around us run out? Dion lowered the oxygen mask around his neck. What is he doing?! Leaned towards me. Closer. I felt his breath on my cheek. The blood in my veins throbbed so loudly that it seemed louder than thunder. He lifted my mask. His lips touched mine. As gentle as the first snow. Warm like the spring sun. Lightning struck. Ten paces from us. Dion instantly pulled away and immediately put me to the ground. Trying not to look into my eyes and went inside the building. I, as if falling into the abyss, trailed after him.
