THE GIRL BY THE SHORE
It was their last day for the business trip in Greece, in a beach resort called Navagio. It was a 2 weeks trip but the last two days was meant for their relaxation and to explore this wonderful beach.
“Our flight will be at 7am, Sir,” his secretary informed him as he was preparing himself to go out. It was already 10:00 in the evening but he decided to go out.
“Okay. I’ll just walk around the beach, Naia. Don’t wait for me,” he told her and left the room.
There’s something about that beach that calms him. He walked around it, letting the sea water touch his feet when his phone rang.
“You better tell me where are you.”
He rolled his eyes when he heard his mother’s voice over the phone.
“It’s business, Mom.”
“I know it’s business but you still need to tell me where are you. Don’t you know how much I worry about you?! I’ve been calling you on your office but they told you’re out of the country. I’ve been calling you for days, Ran! Can’t you find a time to at leasr send me a message to inform me where the hell are you?!”
He sighed. Since his older brother went missing, his Mom has been oblivous to his whereabouts. It’s been a decade since his brother went missing. His mother almost turned nuts. And at the age of 20, he had no choice but to fill the position his brother left in their company which is the Financing Manager. He work in their company as he finish his studies. After finishing his masteral, his father promoted him right away as the Vice-President. Then after finishing his doctorate, he became the CEO of their company. Looking back, he really had a hard time then.
“I’m sorry. I just got busy. I’m in Greece right now,” he told her and he heard her sigh in relief.
He need to report to her every place he went to. He also need to come to their house every fvcking weekends which is outside the Metro. In Bataan to be exact.
“When are you coming back then?” She asked again
He stop walking when he saw something on the shore.
“Son? I asked you when are you coming back?” his mother asked again but he didn’t answer. His gaze is fixated on that thing he saw.
He can’t clearly see it because it’s already dark. It’s almost midnight actually. The only light in there is the light from the hotel he came from and the moonlight. But as he look closer, it looks like a human. A woman to be exact so he step closer.
“Ran?”
“I’m sorry, Mom but I’ve got to go. I’ll just call you again,” he said and turned his phone off.
Now that he’s closer, he is definitely sure that it’s a girl so he immediately run to her. She’s unconscious and naked.
“Miss? Miss?!” he tried waking her up. He brush the strands of her hair that covered her face and he almost forgot how to breath when he saw her face.
She’s beyond beautiful. She actually looks like a sleeping goddess! He just stared at her for God knows how long. He immediately break from his trance and tried to wake her up again but it’s no use so he called his secretary, Naia.
“I need you to call for the emergency team of the hotel right now!” he ordered. He didn’t wait for her answer and tried waking the girl again.
He was about to do a CPR to this girl but he got distracted with her breast. Damn it! So he remove his shirt and put it on her just enough to cover her upto her mid thighs.
“Sir!” it was Naia’s voice
“Over here!”
-
“She’s okay.”
“But why isn’t she waking up? Did she got abuse?”
Instead of the hotel’s clinic, he insisted on bringing her to the island’s hospital to get her tested.
“No. Definitely not. There’s no sign that something like that happened. No scratches. Also everything is normal. She is just too tired so she needs a lot of rest.”
“If she’s not abuse, then why is she naked when I found her?” he whispered to himself.
“Just let her rest Mr. LeVaugh. She can be discharge once she wakes up,” she said then left the room.
“Sir, you need to sleep. We still have a flight tomorrow. It’s already 1am,” Naia said which reminds him that he still have flight tomorrow.
He looked at his wrist watch and sigh. He look at the girl again. This girl is really so beautiful.
“I’ll just stay here to look after her.”
He didn’t listen. He settled himself on the couch instead of going back to his hotel room.
“Just wake me up if she regain consciousness.”
Her secretary just smiled. Maybe she’s thinking he is being stubborn again.
When he close his eyes he immediately saw that girl’s face, her long hair and naked body. He tried forgetting about her but the picture of her naked body is plastered on his mind. From her beautiful face, her full breast and taut n*****s, down to her femininity. And then he saw himself kissing that delectable body of hers. Ravishing those luscious lips and massaging her round mounds.
“f**k!” He get up immediately and went inside the bathroom. “Bring me some clothes, Naia.” I need a bath. A cold one
He waited for Naia to come until he heard a knock on the door after an hour. He slightly opened the door and Naia gave him a paper-bag with his clothes and towel in it.
“Still not awake?” he ask Naia when he got out of the bathroom.
“No, Sir.”
He lie again on the couch but he really can’t get any sleep so he told Naia to go back to her hotel room.
-
“Who are you?”
He almost drop the coffee he was holding when he heard that soft voice. It’s already 5am. Naia called him a while ago that they already have to go to the airport. They have to travel for at least 3 hours from the island up to the airport. He had’t able to fix his things but Naia told her that she fix some of his stuff. But still he told her to go without him.
He actually don’t know why he doesn’t understand his self kung why he chose to stay there and be with that girl who is already awake now.
If she is beautiful when she was unconscious, now that she’s awake, he can’t actually find the right word to describe her. She’s beyond beautiful. She actually have blue eyes like the ocean. Her hair is so long that could have reach her waist. Her cheeks got their natural blush and she has a pinky lips.
“You’re awake. Do you remember what happened to you?” he ask her but she remain her stern face while looking at him.
“I believe I ask you first. Who are you?”
Hmmm, feisty. I like it.
“I’m Ranly Creed LeVaugh. I saw you unconscious by the shore that’s why I took you here in the hospital. Do you remember what happened to you?”
She didn’t answer him. She just look around her.
“Miss?”
“I need water,” she said. He get up to get her some cold water from the fridge. She immediately take it and drank the full glass asking for another.
“What’s your name?” he ask again and say on the chair beside her bed.
“Serene.”
He smiled. Such a beautiful name just like her.
“What exactly happen to you, Serene?”
She stared at him deeply as if weighing if she should answer that question or not.
“I don’t remember,” she answered then bite her lips. She turned her gaze away from him and look down on her fingers.
He sigh. She was obviously lying!
“I actually need to go back to my country so do you know a person we can contact for them to help you here? Your parents? Do you memorize their numbers?”
“What numbers? I told you I don’t remember,” she answered as if he was asking her if she could fly.
He scratch the back of his neck. Surely, this girl is so beautiful but he doesn’t understand why is she lying. She’s not a good liar.
“So basically, you’re alone?” he asked and she just nod at him. “You don’t know anyone from here?”
“I know you. You are Ranly Creed LeVaugh.”
He shake his head. This girl is really something.
“You’re not from here?” he asked and she just shakes her head for an answer. “So where are you from so I can bring you back.” she shakes her head again.
“I don’t know,” she said and look away again.
“Look, Miss Serene. I badly need to go back to my country and I can’t just leave you here so I need you to tell me the truth.”
“But I am telling you the truth. I don’t remember anything.”
He just sigh and get up. He was about to go out when he heard a loud thud. When he look back, he saw Serene struggling to get up from the floor. She immediately help her on her feet and sat her down the bed.
“This is frustrating,” she said and move her toes.
“The doctor said you’re perfectly fine. Are you dizzy or something?”
“No. Maybe I’m just not used to this yet,” she said while still checking her feet.
“I’ll just fix the billings so we can discharge you. Then we need to take you back where you came from.”
He saw how her eyes widen but she immediately look away from him.
That girl. She should be thankful she’s beautiful.
