The date was 4/23/53, and the time was 12:25 past noon when Clayton parked a limousine in front of Adil’s villa. It was the day of the meeting between Gustavo Mandolini and Adil Abu Bakr.   Clayton was in an extreme hurry. He ran upstairs, stumbling on a step to talk to Adil. He had terrible news for him. He found out that a fellow from Florence was about to assassinate him. He found this out from one of his slave handlers. The night before, four slave handlers were drinking whiskey in one of Adil’s cruisers. Three boats down, they saw a suspicious vessel, brightly illuminated, docked, with curtains drawn.
