Travis's P.O.V.
As Jillian and I left the starting line, I couldn't help but hope that we would tie in this race. I wanted to announce to the whole world who she was and how much she means to me. Plus going on a vacation with her would probably put the cherry on top of the whole thing. She was doing pretty good for driving a fast car. She handled the curves correctly and knew when to speed up. I was quite impressed, she was giving me a run for my money.
As we started on our last lap, I decided to make it harder for her. I put the car in 5th gear and pushed on the acceleration. I could feel the engine roaring to life with more power and I waved to her as I passed her by. She had a look of shock on her face and I could see the determination in her face in my rearview mirror.
