Monica was talking to me and I could hear bits and pieces of what she was saying. " ....he.....you..come...him..." huh?" I asked her. She moved her mouth slowly as said " He wants you to come see him." as she motioned towards my step father. I asked her if she could go see what he wants and then let me know, I didn't know if I could face him. " I'll go with you, so he won't try anything." she said. " Okay" as I got the courage to get up and steady myself. As I walked down the aisle, Monica was right behind me as I stopped in front of him. "Well, well , well you are sight for sore eyes. " he said to me. " So are you " I replied. " Aww, haven't you missed me? " he said as he looked me up and down. " Not really, I hope your treating my mother correctly?"
