Luna was embarrassed when she fell. Then she heard his question?
Why, did you save me?”.
She became angry, coupled with the embarrassment she felt.
She was annoyed. Why would he ask her such a question, instead of him thanking her.
When She opened her mouth to reply rudely to him, she took pity on him .
She decided to remain calm.
“Because you were dying?”.
Luna doesn't understand why someone would ask such a question.
She stared at him for a while and proceeded to stand up from the floor.
She massaged the spot that hit the ground because it pained her a little.
Then, she remembered why she came.
“You can remove the shirt if it's making you uncomfortable, I don't have any shirt that's your size“.
"You're... too big”. She added and stood hands akimbo as she watched him closely.
“ It's fine ”, the grey eyed man answered.
“okay, ummm... are you comfortable here on the couch? Or would you like to sleep in the next room?”.
The man looked at her for awhile. This made Luna really uncomfortable.
There's something hideous in the way he looks at her, like he's judging or what?
Luna couldn't explain.
She waited patiently for his answer.
On a normal day, she wouldn't have had the patience to wait around for an answer.
But, this situation is different, the man is a stranger and also wounded.
She can't just neglect him.
She just perceived him as someone with a bad character.
She felt there's more to this person and she must figure it out.
But right now, she needs to put him to sleep so she can get some sleep herself.
The man struggled to stand up from the chair, his pain written all over his face.
Luna immediately rushed to help him. She slid his arm across her shoulder and helped him walk.
The man gave her a chilly look which went unnoticed by Luna.
They got to the room, she helped him lay on the bed.
Luna saw that the bandage had a little blood on it, which is from his wound.
She would dress it again in the morning. She was tired already.
She covered the man with the duvet and left.
Before she opened the door, she suddenly turned around and walked back to the man on the bed.
She took a piece of paper and pen from the drawer and scribbled something on it.
Then she handed it over to the man.
“If you need anything, call me ”.
She placed it on the side table and left.
The man took the paper, looked and saw that she had written down her number for him.
He placed it back on the table, looked around the room.
His eyes went to the duvet on his body, he ran his fingers over it and sighed.
Then he finally closed his eyes and slept.
The room was already bright when Luna stirred from her sleep.
Her eyes flew open and she shut them immediately, the brightness hurt her eyes.
She rubbed her eyes a bit and slowly opened them.
She yawned. She didn't have enough sleep.
She got off her bed and left the room to check up on the man in the next room.
Luna got to the room. She opened the door.
Her eyes went straight to the bed.
Lo and behold, the bed was empty.
Luna was startled. She didn't believe it.
She closed her eyes and opened them again.
Still the same thing. The bed was really empty.
She panicked.
Where could he have gone to? Did he run away secretly? What happened?
Different questions and thoughts flew in and out of her mind.
Her eyes searched the room but there was no sign of him.
She saw the shirt she gave him on the chair.
Did he remove the shirt and run? How could he just leave all of a sudden?
Luna closed the door and half ran to the living room to check.
Still there was no sign of him.
She checked the kitchen and bathroom, he wasn't there.
She stood in the living room with her hand placed on her head.
Then, she remembered the balcony.
She hadn't checked the balcony. But she doubted that he would be there.
Luna decided to give it a try.
She hurriedly walked to the door that led to the balcony.
That was when she saw him.
The door was a glass door, so she was able to see him without him noticing.
Luna halted in her tracks. She watched him closely.
The man stood there shirtless, his hands resting on the barricade.
He looked around like he was searching the area, like someone who's suspicious of his surroundings.
Now that he stood with his back facing her, Luna noticed how tall and big he was.
He was a little above 6.7ft tall.
His arm muscles looked strong and his back, so broad and well toned.
She noticed the scars on his back. She could count up to six of them.
She was shocked.
What happened to him that gave him so many scars.
Luna blinked nervously.
There was this cold aura that he emitted just by standing there.
He looked like a dominant tyrant, a leader of something dangerous.
'Who have I let into my house?'
Luna wondered. Unknown fear started creeping in.
She shook her head and brushed it aside.
She saw the man fish out his phone from his pocket and called someone.
She wanted to know what they spoke about, who did he call?
Luna wasn't able to hear anything as she was inside the house.
The call didn't last up to two minutes.
She watched him twirl the phone in his hand for awhile like he was an evil maniac trying to come up with a very devilish plan.
Luna's suspicion grew.
She reached out and pushed the glass door.
She stepped outside.
The man turned around when he heard the sound of the door sliding.
Their eyes met.
But both of them didn't say a word.
It was as if they're waiting for the other to speak first.
Luna decided to break the silence.
Then she asked.
“Who are you?”
Her voice a bit shaky.
The man smirked.
Then, he started walking towards her.
