- CHAPTER 16 -
Third Person P.O.V.
Hera walked out of the cafe and swiftly drove off to her office with hot tears slipping through the corner of her eyes. No, she wasn't crying because Xeus interrupted her sweet reunion with her friend and ex sister in law. Her tears were of rage and anger, they were the tears of frustration, years of pent up frustration and need for revenge. She felt violated and dirty as she harked back to how her ex husband touched her, manhandled her when he had no right to do so. He touched her and that disgusted her beyond measures.
After years of cleansing, scrapping , attempting to wash off every single mark left by her tormentor, he still somehow made sure to implant his touch on her.
She got out of her car and slammed the door shut. And made a bee line to her office and slammed the door locking it from inside and slid down to the floor with her knees pressed against her chest and rocked herself back and forth in an attempt to soothe herself and reassure herself that she has come a long way and she has to be strong enough to vanquish the battle she is going to fight.
She got up from the floor and plopped herself on the pale baby blue coloured sofa & closed her eyes while massaging her temples in an attempt to calm herself. Her body was still shivering from the weak sobs and hiccups erupting from her chest. She kept on massaging her temples.
Xeus set his foot into their shared penthouse, drunk out of his mind and tumbled onto the L shaped couch in the middle of the living room and hiccuped.
Hera ran downstairs from Ares' room after putting him to sleep and found a drunk Xeus on the couch hiccuping. Dread and absolute fear settles in her heart as she observed the state Xeus was in, A drunk Xeus was a dangerous one. Before she could turn on her heel and escape him, she heard him calling out to her.
She knew what was to come and with each passing second, her body was shaking with nervousness and dread and she could legit feel the adrenaline filling into her senses. Suddenly, a hand grabbed fistful of her hair and yanked her head backwards which caused her to release a painful yelp.
"Didn't you hear me calling you?" Xeus whispered in her ear and nipped on her earlobe causing Hera to whimper.
"I..I....m...sorr..yy" Hera stuttered in fear.
His hand was still entangled painfully in her hair. He tugged on it harshly which made Hera screech in pain.
"I..I...m...sor..r..yyy." Xeus mocked her and laughed maniacally. "Tsk..Tsk...Darlin'...Now, I have to punish you.." He said and dragged her by her hair into the couch whilst ignoring Her pleas and screams of agony and pain.
"PLEASE! NO! I WONT DEFY YOU AGAIN." Hera exclaimed but her pleas fell into deaf ears as she was roughly thrown on the couch as Xeus unbuckled his belt hook and took it off and wrapped it in his palm.
His eyes didn't hold an ounce of humanity or sanity, they were oozing with iniquity as his lips curled into a malicious evil grin which made Hera shudder with unease.
The belt made contact with Hera's thighs and she led out a cry.
"You never listen, do you?" Xeus yelled while lashing her over and over again.
"Who do you belong to?" He questioned while yanking her by her hair.
She cried out in response and begged him to stop.
" I ASKED, WHO DO YOU BELONG TO?" He gritted.
"You." Hera whispered. She gave up, her body was numb and she didn't even have an ounce of energy to defy him or bear any more lashes.
Xeus smirked evilly and yanked his trousers down and tore of her clothes and dived into her womanhood.
"NO!" Hera screamed as she woke up from her awfully real nightmare.
Her entire body was sweating profusely and was shivering as an aftermath effect of her nightmare. She had fallen asleep.
"Regina, Are you okay there?" Selene asked knocking on the door.
"Yes...." Hera croaked out.
"Are you sure? You have been in there for a long time plus I heard you screaming.." Selene trailed off.
"I am fine, Selene .Can you book me an appointment with Xeus Knight for tomorrow, we have things to discuss." Hera asked.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yes." Hera replied firmly as she wiped off her forehead and called Typhon.
"Hello, sweetheart." Typhon replied cheerfully after picking up the phone within two rings.
"Ty.. the reunion didn't go well, Xeus crashed it and I need to meet him up and clear things off with him, I have asked to book an appointment with him tomorrow. Can you accompany me?" She asked with a hint of nervousness in her voice.
He sighed.
"Yes, I will. Come home, I know something's wrong and you have been crying, we will talk about it once you get here." He said.
Hera replied with a soft okay and an I love you and hung up.
She breathed out a sigh of relief and smiled softly. Typhon really new how to ease her nerves.
She got out of the office and nodded at Selene and drove off to her mansion. She knew she had to talk to Typhon and also calm her nerves before meeting her ex husband.
