"Un-love me, I dare you." - Atticus.                                                                       - CHAPTER 8 - 31st DECEMBER, 2020. THE DAY OF THE ANNUAL CHARITY BALL. Third Person's P.O.V. Xeus arrived in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has been to Asia a couple of times for business and was quite fond of Malaysia. With his secretary, Thalia, his brother and his sister in law, he got off of his private jet and drove to their reserved hotel, being extremely jet lagged and the time being 4:30 am in the morning, all of them decided to settle down in their rooms and rest for the rest of the day so they could be ready to attend the ball in the evening. Hera's family arrived in Malaysia about a week before the actual event, they were quite eager to meet her, but to their utter dismay, they couldn't. Their constant attempts to visit Hera at her office went in vain as every time they'd show themselves in the reception area, they'd be asked to leave since Hera claimed to have 'no family'. Hestia even went to the extent of demanding Hera's receptionist her personal address with the claims of being her sister, but she was denied of that too. Hera decided that she have had enough of their shenanigans and decided to declare it in the press that they were indeed her family but had been quite hostile towards her from the time she could remember and she considers herself as an orphan now, which got her parents and her step sister a restraining order against them, which meant that they cannot crowd her or even claim to be family, but they were allowed to attend the ball.  It was around 4 O'clock in the afternoon when Hera decided to finally get up from her short nap and get ready for the ball, she took a quick shower and tied a soft velvety robe around her body and made her way to her closet where her hairdresser was patiently waiting for her, Hera wasn't a fan of make up so, she didn't volunteer to apply any.  Her hairdresser proceeded to brush her soft midnight black hair, which now had streaks of honey brown in them as she chose to highlight them three months ago. After fifteen minutes or so, her hair was neatly made into a braided bun with locks and curls of her hair touching the smooth pale skin of the side of her face. She thanked her hair dresser and went onto take out the dress which Typhon had chosen for her, and she quickly wore it. She smoothed down the velvet vintage gown which hugged her curves to perfection and highlighted her features gracefully, she took her time to admire the woman standing in front of her in the mirror, the beautiful woman with big nut brown eyes, eyes which had witnessed the cruelty of the world, eyes which have turned  into the colour of the Earth after they've rained as an impact of being hurt, her eyes held so many emotions, her soft lump lips were painted with some cherry nude shade of lipstick and her mountain nose was ornamented with a tiny petal shaped nose ring. She looked breath taking and she felt beautiful in her own skin. She wore a pair of heels and styled her gown with a glittery clutch and made her way downstairs, only to find Ares and Typhon waiting for her; both dressed in Gucci suits. Ares had his hair gelled and wore a pair of ankle boots with a turtle neck black shirt underneath his black suit and  Typhon wore a midnight blue suit and surely did highlight his high cheek bones and brought attention to his handsomely carved face. Hera was perplexed to see her boys all suited and booted and she was beyond joyful. Typhon greeted her with a quick peck on her lips and Ares hugged his mother and offered a red rose. "You look beautiful, Momma." Ares complimented. Hera thanked her son with a quick kiss which earned a playful groan from the seven year old, while Typhon watched the moment between his woman and her son with amusement and pure adoration. he cleared his throat and asked, "Shall we?" and offered his arm to Hera. She took it with a huge grin with a hint of blush on her cheeks and locked their arms together, and held Ares' hand by interlocking their fingers together and made their way to their limo. Hera knew that tonight she was going to face her biggest tormentor and she was thoroughly prepared, because she firmly believed that her wrath and her thirst for revenge will not let her crumble into pieces or harm her dignity or self worth again. Hera was prepared for the storm.
