Mira woke the next morning, full of energy. This time, thankfully, Merlin was waiting outside instead of inside of her room. She put on her robe, feeling a bit odd. She went outside and saw Merlin waiting for her, "I need to ask you something."
"Well, you can ask when we play our game."
They talked as they played chess, "What was it you want to ask me?"
"Well, Lois said that you and Arthur are 1 billion years old. Is it true?"
"Well, yes. That is supposed to be a secret. Make sure you don't tell anyone."
"Of course. I wanted to ask you. What was it like back then?"
"It was good. Better than now. It was more technologically advanced."
"So how did you and Arthur meet?"
"Well, Arthur was king of the kingdom of "England". I was just a sorcerer, a powerful one. Arthur's father despise magic. He killed everyone who had magic. The only reason I survived is because Arthur stood up for me and the fact that I escaped. I mean, everyone is stupid. They have magic and they can do spells. They don't even need to do any hand gestures. Yet, they didn't try to escape."
"So how did you escape?"
"Well, I used space magic. I just lengthen the space between me and the rope. Then I shorten the space between me and the forest just outside of Camelot."
"What is Camelot?"
"Well, Camelot was a town. Or rather, capital city."
"Aww...after that, what happened?"
"Well, Arthur was sent after me to kill me. You see, what Uther, that is the king, didn't know was that Arthur and me were working together for a while. I saved both of them countless times but Uther didn't know that. We plotted to dethrone him but it resulted in him killing himself. Well, after that Arthur became king and he was not like his father. He let magic flourished in Camelot again. But he was then killed by magical creatures. By creatures, I mean dragons and demons. Luckily, our life forces were not tied yet. But after the battle, I resurrected him, resulting in tying our life forces. And then, something bad happened. And you were involved."
"What? I was? It's not possible. I mean I am not 1 billion year old."
"Yeah, you are not 1 billion years old. You are older. No one knew how old you were."
"Even if I were alive, I won't do anything bad or terrible."
"No, you saved humanity...as far as I can tell. No, let me rephrased that. You helped someone save humanity."
"Aha, so I am a hero?"
"Well, yes. I know what you are."
"What am I then?"
"You went by many names. Vampire, Empousa, Striges and many other names."
"Wow. Don't anyone else know?"
"Well, Arthur know but no one else know about you because no one else have ever heard of something like you."
"There's on one like me? How can that be possible? I am sure that I am not the first.. first...'vampire'"
"I'm not sure if you are or you are not but you existed long before my time. And you have fought with me in battles before. Only me and Arthur know how dangerous you are. We know that you fought against Arthur. Everyone may think that Arthur is the best fighter. But you are better than everyone here, if you have memories of your past. Don't ask. I will not give you your memory. You will regain your memory overtime so don't ask me."
"Uhh...I wasn't going to."
"Huh, that's a first. Whatever, now beat me."
They played till afternoon. Just like before, she couldn't beat him.
"Don't worry. You will get better. And if you want to learn magic, ask me after sparing with Arthur. I have something to give you."
Then he disappeared to god knows where. "O...K....."
She walked towards the place Arthur was waiting, not caring if it's late or not. "Why are you late again?"
"Well, because I don't care. So give me a weapon."
"Huh, I'll teach you a lesson."
"If you can,....your majesty."
"Merlin told you, huh? Good for you. Don't you dare call me your majesty. I f*****g hate titles. Just for calling me that, I will not hold back."
"Oh s**t. At least give me a sword or a shield."
"Shield is a no-go. Here's a sword."
He threw it at her and ran after it, charging at her. She grabbed it and rolled out of the way, barely dodging the sword. What the hell? Is he trying to kill me? If he is, I need to stay alive. Wow, that's obvious. He slashed at her again, this time blocked by Mira. He overcome his shock really quick and stepped back. Then he circled her, "You are getting fast. I am sure you will be faster at night."
"Yes, I am su-"
Before finishing her sentence, he was charging at her again. This fool, trying to trick me. You can't trick me. She rolled sideway, his sword hitting nothing but air. She rushed forward, using the advantage. She jumped and brought down her sword at him. He blocked it at the last second. "Wow, you're getting better. I am sure that you won't be killed by normal soldiers anymore."
"Don't mock me. I can just pick you up and throw you far away. I am quite sure that I can pick you up."
"Aha. I am sure you ca- Oww."
She kicked him in his personal place. His hand immediately went there, holding it dearly as if it is his life. "Oww. You f*****g intelligent b***h. You kicked me in the di- you know what? That hurt. You won't know since you don't have one."
"Yeah, one of my advantages. In battle, you have a lot of weak points."
"I am sure I do. And you have a lot of arrogant."
"Wha?"
He smiled. He moved his legs, tripping her. "Oof."
"HAHA."
A new voice appeared, "You guys are like children. With no shame."
She turned her head and saw Lois, her heart immediately fluttering, "Uhh...he did it first. He tried to kill me, you know?"
"What? I didn't." Then he whispered, "You bitc- that is a low blow."
"That's not a problem since you didn't die. Him, on the other hand."
He was still rolling from pain. Mira didn't know how he managed to kick her. Then they heard the horns.
Arthur and Lois looked at each other. Lois chanted something and Arthur immediately got up. They were teleported to the highest tower in the town. They could clearly see an army, matching towards them.
"What? You said, they wouldn't arrive until next week."
"Well, I was wrong. We are going to war. Get ready."
