ABBY“Hello, beautiful,” I greeted Sapphire as I entered the nesting hut the sisters had built for her so she didn’t have to stay in the cave. The leopard looked up from her straw heap and chuffed softly. Her relaxed demeanour and welcoming vibe assured me it was safe to enter the enclosure and approach. While she was very well-tempered in general, there was always a danger working with big cats. Or house cats, for that matter. But if I didn’t interpret her body language correctly, I could put myself in serious danger.
